  • Patent number: 6066332
Abstract: A medicament for immediately treating painful, inflammatory and/or febrile diseases contains as active substance ibuprofen as a racemate, as a racemic mixture with its enantiomers, as a pseudoracemate (mixtures of equal parts of S- and R-ibuprofen) or as a mixture of different parts of S- and R-ibuprofen in a range between pure S- and pure R-ibuprofen in the form of a pharmaceutically applicable nanosol and satisfies all requirements of an immediate-effect pharmaceutic form. It can in addition be combined with a slow-release medicament that contains as active substance ibuprofen as a racemic compound, as a pseudoracemate (mixtures of equal parts of S- and R-ibuprofen) or as a mixture of different parts of S- and R-ibuprofen in a range between pure S- and pure R-ibuprofen, in the form of a pharmaceutically applicable, gelatine-based nanosol.

  • Patent number: 5560924
Abstract: Immediate-effect medicaments containing a pharmacologically active 2-arylpropionic acid derivate as a pharmaceutically applicable nanosol have a considerably improved action start and bioavailability of the active substance. The 2-arylpropionic acid derivates, for example ibuprofen, flurbiprofen and ketoprofen, that are scarcely soluble in an aqueous medium, are present in a gelatine-stabilized nanosol in a form that allows these active substances to be quickly and completely resorbed already in the stomach. The disclosed colloidal disperse system composed of a 2-arylpropionic acid derivate is prepared by selecting a gelatine or gelatine derivate according to their isoelectric point (IEP), so that their IEP is adapted to the charge of the 2-arylpropionic acid derivate particles, leading to a neutral charge when the gelatine or its derivate is combined with the undissolved 2-arylpropionic acid derivate at a determined pH value.

  • Patent number: 5556638
Abstract: A medicament for immediately treating painful, inflammatory and/or febrile acute diseases contains flurbiprofen as a racemate, a mixture of a racemate with its enantiomers, a pseudoracemate (mixtures of equal parts of S- and R-flurbiprofen) or as a mixture of different parts of S- and R-flurbiprofen in the range extending between pure S and pure R-flurbiprofen as active substance in the form of a pharmaceutically applicable nanosol. This medicament satisfies all requirements of an immediate-effect pharmaceutic form.

  • Patent number: 4983765
Abstract: A process is described in which a mixture of enantiomeric arylpropionic acid is split and one of enantiomeric forms of the acid is recovered. The mixture is transformed into a diastereoisomeric salt by a reaction with a chiralic base and an inert solvent, and the desired acid enantiomer is removed from the reaction product. The transformation to a diastereoisomeric salt takes place in a polar solvent. The salt produced is recrystallized several times and the thus purified salt is split in a dilute mineral acid.
