  • Patent number: 4982177
Abstract: A pyrometer is located beneath a soldering path downstream of a flow nozzle and is shielded by a metal plate which extends transversely relative to the soldering direction and obliquely upwardly toward the path. • Patent number: 4861996
Abstract: An observation and guide beam apparatus, referred to as a spotter scope, has in addition to a laser guide beam generator an optical daytime channel for daytime spotting or viewing and a day- and nighttime channel for both night and day observations. These channels are harmonized relative to the laser guide beam by the same automatic axial harmonizing device. Further, the day and night channel includes a heat imaging device that is internally harmonized on a long term basis. The scope also has an ocular arm. This combination is especially suitable for use in a weapons system using remote controlled flying bodies, for example. The scope can use any available type of detector or detector technology.

  • Patent number: 4634401
Abstract: A spider for a Hooke's joint typically includes a center piece and four pins radiating therefrom. The pins are all located in a plane which intersects the rotation axis of the spider. Between adjacent pins, the center piece has a transition section, which is machined to define a concave fillet. In the preferred form, the fillet is shaped to define an arched, toric outer surface, and particularly as viewed along a longitudinal cross section along the rotation axis of the center piece, the outer surface comprises two partially cylindrical fillets symmetrically located at opposite sides of the plane through which the axes of the pin pass. These two fillets are machined by a tool that moves longitudinally along a path parallel to the plane of the pin axes for machining and the tool is swung around a swivel axis parallel to the plane of the pin axis for forming the fillets symmetrically of the plane of the pin axis.

  • Patent number: 4309765
Abstract: In a process for transmitting items of information between devices of an indirectly controlled exchange system via time division multiplex (TDM) channels, with multiple repetition of the items of information, the items of information comprise a plurality of bytes including a number byte which numbers the relevant item of information. The items of information are transmitted by means of buffer stores and multiplexers. The item of information also include a acknowledgment bytes which acknowledge the correct reception of previously transmitted items of information. The reception of acknowledgement bytes is also evaluated as a signal that the TDM channel previously used to transmit the acknowledged information has been released for the transmission of a further item of information.

  • Patent number: 4216030
Abstract: A semiconductor component is described which includes two zones of opposite conductivity type having a pn junction therebetween, and in which one zone is formed of a monocrystalline semiconductor substrate body and the other zone is produced in the semiconductor body by a doping process, such, for example, as by an implantation or diffusing process. Before the diffusion or implantation takes place, a zone is created at or near the substrate surface which has a disturbed crystal lattice. The diffusion or implantation then takes place through the disturbed zone. A process for producing such a semiconductor component is also described. The other zone may also be produced after the disturbed crystal lattice is produced in the portion of the substrate body which portion will later become the second zone.
