  • Patent number: 11646755
Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed for amplifying radio signals between a terminal and an antenna or an antenna connection of a circuit having an amplification unit and a detector unit, which has signal branches designed for different frequency ranges, and a power detector. A transmission signal received by the terminal is divided into at least a first signal part and a second signal part. The first signal part is applied to the signal branches of the detector unit. A frequency range of the first signal part is determined by sequential application of the signal branches of the detector unit to the power detector for evaluating a power of the first signal part. For the second signal part, the signal routing in the amplification unit is adjusted based on the frequency range determined by the detector unit. At least the second signal part is amplified by the amplification unit.

  • Patent number: 11431374
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for amplifying radio signals between a terminal device and an antenna and to a corresponding circuit arrangement is disclosed. The circuit arrangement has a transmission amplifier path and a reception amplifier path. A signal power in a first frequency range in the transmitting direction is detected to determine a transmitted signal power and a signal power in a second frequency range in the receiving direction is detected to determine a received signal power. The detected transmitted signal power can be compared with the detected received signal power. If the detected transmitted signal power is stronger than the detected received signal power, the transmission amplifier path can amplify transmitted signals in the first frequency range. If the detected received signal power is stronger than the detected transmitted signal power, the reception amplifier path can amplify received signals in the second frequency range.

  • Patent number: 10728945
Abstract: Signals are transmitted from and to a plurality of terminals. The apparatus has a plurality of signal connections and at least two antenna connections. One signal connection is a main connection or a secondary connection. At least one main connection for each terminal can be connected. The number of signal connections is greater than the number of antenna connections. At least one linking element allows each main connection to be electrically linked to each antenna connection. A device for detecting transmitting activity detects a transmitting main connection based on a signal property of a signal, wherein the signal is present on a signal link section which is linked to the main connection. Signaling links between the signal connections and the antenna connections can be established on the basis of the detected transmitting main connections and the number of signal connections assigned to a terminal.

  • Patent number: 9602148
Abstract: A circuit arrangement compensates for signal damping while transmitting transmission signals of a wireless mobile device. The circuit arrangement contains an adjustable signal level amplifying device which has a signal amplifier for amplifying the transmission signals with a signal amplification generated by the signal amplifier. The circuit further has an adjusting device for adjusting a resulting signal amplification, and a detector arrangement which detects whether a signal level of the transmission signal of the mobile device has exceeded an upper threshold and whether the signal level has reached a lower threshold. The detector arrangement causes the adjusting device to reduce the resulting signal amplification generated by the signal level amplifying device if the signal level has reached the upper threshold.

  • Patent number: 8718052
Abstract: A method and system for connecting signal paths in a circuit arrangement with multiband capability for processing and/or influencing signals in radio communication, on the basis of which at least the transmission paths of a corresponding circuit arrangement are activated or deactivated on the basis of the presence of a transmitted signal from a terminal which is operated with the circuit arrangement. The transmission paths, which are deactivated in a basic state of the circuit arrangement, are periodically checked in succession for the presence of a transmitted signal from the terminal with a multiplexer that forms a functional component of a detection unit and that is switched through by a controller for sequential scanning of the transmission paths for the presence of such a transmitted signal. If a signal is present, only a transmission path for the correct frequency band of the transmitted signal is activated and continuously checked for the presence of a transmitted signal.

  • Patent number: 8406820
Abstract: A detection circuit has a detector unit for detecting a transmitted signal from a mobile radio terminal. The detection circuit forms a part of a circuit arrangement for processing or influencing received signals and transmitted signals associated with the mobile radio terminal (accessory circuit). It is involved in the accessory circuit via a switching means, which is arranged in a transmission path upstream of at least one transmission power amplifier which can be activated upon detection of a transmitted signal, and is coupled to the transmission path via a coupling element which is arranged downstream of the transmission power amplifier. At the start of the transmission burst, the whole power of the transmitted signal is first of all supplied to the detector unit before said detector unit changes over the transmitted signal to the transmission power amplifier by operating the switching means.
