Patent number: 4848308Abstract: A stoneworking or cutting device for texturing the surface of stones, in particular, concrete slabs, has a tool holder in a swing frame with a number of stoneworking or cutting tools, whereby each tool is activated individually. To produce the striking force, a number of flyweights are mounted on the swing frame so that they can rotate, whereby the swing frame itself is mounted so that its height can be adjusted in a horizontally movable base carriage. Striking pins corresponding to the individual tools in the tool holder are made to oscillate by the flyweights to activate the tools which work the stone.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 1988Date of Patent: July 18, 1989Assignee: Betonwerke Munderkingen GmbHInventors: Olaf Hoppe, Helmut Schmid, Peter Reinschutz, Karl Weggenmann

Patent number: 4510831Abstract: In a cutting table for sheet metal and the like, the portion of the work that overhangs the table where it is cut is supported on a traveling adjustable support (9) having rollers on its upper surface. As the upper blade is brought down to cut the work progressively from the side near the pivot of the blade to the opposite side, a traveling carriage on which the traveling support is mounted is caused to move along the length of the cut so that it provides support to the work at the location where the blade is doing the cutting. The support is pivoted on an axis perpendicular to the cut so that it can adjust itself to the inclination of the upper cutting blade, the pivot being fixed on a vertically slidable member guided in the carriage. Hydraulically driven pistons enable the support to be raised or lowered with respect to the carriage. Wide cuts can thus be made without the strip that is cut off being twisted, coiled up, or otherwise deformed.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1983Date of Patent: April 16, 1985Inventors: Theo Jager, Helmut Schmid
-
Patent number: 4456647Abstract: The invention relates to plastics mouldings, more particularly transparent plastics mouldings, which are finished with a coating of three successively stoved, chemically different layers, and to a process for producing the finish. The special finish considerably improves the scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, weathering resistance and yellowing resistance of the plastics surfaces without affecting the transparency of the plastics moulding. The first layer (primer layer) is produced from a hardenable acrylic resin and an aminoplast resin, the second layer from a thermoplastic acrylic resin, a plasticizer and a masked polyisocyanate and the third layer (cover layer) from at least one partially hydrolyzed organosilane, an .alpha.,.omega.-dihydroxy polydimethyl siloxane, a silica sol and at least one masked polyisocyanate as binder in the presence of a water-soluble organic or inorganic acid. The three-layer coating contains UV-absorbers, light stabilizers and, optionally, standard auxiliaries.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1982Date of Patent: June 26, 1984Assignee: Bayer AktiengesellschaftInventors: Manfred Schonfelder, Helmut Steinberger, Helmut Schmid
