  • Patent number: 6757418
Abstract: A method for automatic CR image composition includes the following steps for each image in a CR image pair. A vertical gradient image is projected onto a y-axis to obtain a y-axis projection. Edge positions (candidates) are identified from white band edge positions based on an absolute maximum value of the y-axis projection. An intensity change constancy identifies candidates having orientation angles less than a threshold angle with respect to a horizontal. An intensity change value verifies intensity value differences on two candidate sides. A cross-correlation score is computed for the candidates having an error value below a threshold for the intensity change constancy and the intensity change value, by comparing a consistency of the candidates against image data of the CR image pair. A final overlap is identified for the CR image pair, based upon the cross-correlation score.

  • Patent number: 6462295
Abstract: In a high-voltage power breaker having two rated current contact pieces and two arc contact pieces as well as an insulating nozzle, a filling body is provided, which is mounted on this insulating nozzle, surrounds the insulating nozzle in an annular shape and is composed of an electrically insulating material having a high dielectric constant, in order to influence the electric field in the isolating gap.

Abstract: A method for automatic CR image composition includes the following steps for each image in a CR image pair. A vertical gradient image is projected onto a y-axis to obtain a y-axis projection (420). Edge positions (candidates) are identified from white band edge positions based on an absolute maximum value of the y-axis projection (430). An intensity change constancy identifies candidates having orientation angles less than a threshold angle with respect to a horizontal (440). An intensity change value verifies intensity value differences on two candidate sides (450). A cross-correlation score is computed for the candidates having an error value below a threshold for the intensity change constancy and the intensity change value, by comparing a consistency of the candidates against image data of the CR image pair (460, 610). A final overlap is identified for the CR image pair, based upon the cross-correlation score (620).

  • Patent number: 4906935
Abstract: To check the presence of operating vacuum in vacuum switches, high voltage can be applied between the contacts at a given contact spacing and the dielectric strength can be tested. According to the invention, the procedure for vacuum monitoring is that a contact spacing (h) below the nominal stroke of the vacuum switch is selected and that the X-radiation generated at this contact spacing (h) and high voltage (U) in vacuum due to the field electron emission between the contacts by the contact surfaces acting as anode is acquired and evaluated as proof of the presence of operating vacuum inside the switching tube. This method can preferably be applied to encapsulated vacuum switching tubes, in particular to SF.sub.6 -insulated switching facilities.

  • Patent number: 4151391
Abstract: A contact arrangement for a pressurized-gas circuit braker, wherein the contact arrangement comprises a first tubular contact member and a second tubular contact member axially arranged therewith. The contact arrangement is further provided with a hollow cylinder means of ferromagnetic material which is arranged in the interior of the first tubular member and is formed from a multiplicity of laminated metal washers which are insulated from one another and are arranged axially with respect to the first tubular member.

  • Patent number: 4074064
Abstract: A gas-insulated, high-voltage apparatus wherein arcs can develop includes an encapsulation and at least one electrical conductor made of aluminum or an alloy thereof which is held in spaced relation to the encapsulation by insulators. A surface is arranged at the conductor at locations thereof subject to the greatest arc activity. The surface faces the encapsulation and is defined by an electrically conductive, arc-resistant material. An excessive stress and endangerment of the encapsulation because of arc action is thereby prevented.
