  • Patent number: 5597888
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of high molecular weight polyamide 6 (polycaprolactam).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 9, 1995
Date of Patent: January 28, 1997
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 5250619
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the preparation of particulate, high molecular weight polyamides, to the particulate, high molecular weight polyamides prepared by this process, to the use of these polyamides for the production of moulded bodies, especially by extrusion or blow moulding, and to the articles produced from the polyamides according to the invention. The process is characterized in that polyamides are mixed with concentrates of certain compounds containing phosphorus and worked up into granulates and these granulates are converted into high molecular weight products by solid phase after-condensation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 16, 1990
Date of Patent: October 5, 1993
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans-Detlef Heinz, Helmut Schulte, Hans-Josef Buysch
  • Patent number: 5026818
Abstract: The invention relates to high molecular weight (co)polyamides and to a process for the accelerated production of polyamides during melt polycondensation using a combination of aminocaprolactam (ACL) and/or lysine components and polycarboxylic acids and known catalysts and also, if desired, for the accelerated solid-phase post-condensation of the catalyst-containing (co)polyamides and to the polyamides produced by the processes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 5, 1989
Date of Patent: June 25, 1991
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 5013518
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the production of shrinkable sheet products from copolyamides with good processing properties. The copolyamides consist of .epsilon.-caprolactam and equimolar quantities of dimeric fatty acids and diamines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 1989
Date of Patent: May 7, 1991
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 5004213
Abstract: An apparatus for bending leaf-spring blanks is combined with a vessel containing a bath of a hot treatment liquid and defining a longitudinal treatment path below a surface of the liquid, a center guide extending longitudinally along the path in the bath, and a pair of side guides extending longitudinally along the path and spacedly horizontally flanking the center guide. Each guide has an upper element and a lower element spaced therebelow. A loader engages the blank in the bending apparatus generally centrally for removing the engaged blank form the bending apparatus, and for depositing the blank in the bath between the upper and lower guide elements. In addition a conveyor including center and side pushers is displaceable longitudinally along each of the respective guides for engaging the blank engaged therein and displacing same along the path through the guides between the upper and lower elements.

  • Patent number: 4987760
Abstract: An apparatus for bending a leaf spring from a generally straight into an arcuate shape has a frame and a lower jaw assembly on the frame including a fixed central jaw having a flat upper face and a pair of normally curved side jaws flanking the central jaw, each formed by a group of shape-defining fingers, and pivotal about an axis generally centrally between them between a position defining an angle of about 180.degree. and a position defining an angle substantially smaller than 180.degree.. An upper jaw assembly on the frame includes a vertically displaceable central jaw having a generally flat lower face above the lower central jaw, a pair of normally curved side jaws flanking the upper central jaw above the lower side jaws and each formed by a group of shape-defining fingers, and structure supporting the upper side jaws for angular movement about generally parallel axes adjacent the upper central jaw. Thus the upper side jaws can be positioned generally parallel to the lower side jaws.

  • Patent number: 4872436
Abstract: Arrangement for stabilizing the idling speed of an internal combustion engine. In an arrangement for early setting of the ignition angle having a microcomputer, a timer is provided that is set to a run-down time (t) that is a rated time that the crankshaft needs in order to turn from an arbitrarily selected basic angle (GW) to an associated idling angle (LW) for a rated idling speed, this idling angle being the ignition angle at the rated idling speed. The timer is started when the angular position of the crankshaft has reached the basic angle (GW). The angular position of the crankshaft following the run-down time (t) is a premature angle (FW) that is used as the ignition angle and that occurs earlier and earlier for dropping idling speed. The arrangement guarantees an immediate early setting of the ignition angle for decreasing idling speed without direct involvement of the microcomputer.
