  • Patent number: 5366469
Abstract: A lancet device for puncturing the skin of mammals, especially humans, has a bushing with a grip portion and opposite the grip portion a free end defining a plane. An insert is axially slidably connected within the bushing. The insert has a first and a second end, with the first end having a grip element and the second end having a projecting lancet with a tip for puncturing the skin. The grip element comprises a diaphragm with a preset pressure point, and upon surpassing the pressure point of the diaphragm with an axially directed force in the direction toward the free end of the bushing, the lancet is released with a preset impulse via the insert and penetrates the plane defined by the free end to puncture the skin.

  • Patent number: 5108513
Abstract: A device in which the wafers are moved with the aid of aqueous media, is posed for the transportation of semiconductor wafers and also for use in processes for the cleaning thereof, the device including a guideplate having a bottom plate with nozzle systems which are differently inclined in each case and independent of one another and through which the transportation fluid is, if necessary, forced into the transportation space, as a result of which the wafer can be loaded, retarded, caused to rotate and unloaded again. The devices can be combined to form treatment lines, different fluids being used in each case in the individual sections thereof, so that no mechanically moving parts act on the wafers during retardation and rotation and that no change of reagents has to be carried out inside a treatment station.

  • Patent number: 4811892
Abstract: Structural parts, particularly of complicated shape, are diffusion welded to each other under isostatic pressure to form permanent joints. A two phase operation is involved in the joint formation. In the first phase at least one of the welding joint forming surfaces of the two parts to be joined, is provided with a material which will form a metallurgical layer in the gap between the two surfaces forming the welding joint. The metallurgical layer forming material may be applied to one or both joint forming surfaces prior to assembly of the parts or the material may be introduced into the gap between the surfaces after the parts have been assembled. In both instances it is the aim to seal the gap prior to the second phase in which a diffusion welding is performed in a hot isostatic press.
