  • Publication number: 20170050253
Abstract: Method for manufacturing an electrically effective point of contact on the end of an electrical conductor with a plurality of stranded wires composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. At the end of the conductor arranged with the vertical course, initially a holder is placed surrounding the conductor so that the front side of the conductor is exposed and the point is accessible from the top. After the point of the conductor is in an axial direction, on the front surface a heat source of a temperature from 2000° C. and higher heats the surface. The material of the individual wires surrounding oxide layer are melted or steamed away until all the wires of the conductor including the same surrounding oxide layer form a one-piece combined aluminum composed contact part. After that the contact part together with the end of the conductor is cooled.

  • Publication number: 20170033473
Abstract: A method is provided for electrically conductively connecting a contact part on the basis of copper to an electrical conductor composed of a plurality of individual wires containing aluminum. A cup-shaped contact part which has a bottom and a cylindrical sleeve, which is integrally connected to the bottom and protrudes from the bottom, is pushed with tight contact of the sleeve against the conductor to such an extent until the end face of the conductor rests against the bottom of the contact part. Consequently, at least one rotating tool (6) is applied with sustained pressure, until due to increased temperature of the conductor, the conductor is softened to such an extent that it integrally connects with the contact part. The wall of the contact part is not broken through by the tool. Finally, the tool is removed from the contact part.

  • Publication number: 20140059853
Abstract: A method is disclosed for moisture tight covering a connection point between an electrical conductor. The method includes exposing the conductor at its end by removing the insulation and subsequently electrically conductively connecting the end of the conductor, from which the insulation has been removed, to the contact element. After the connection point is finished, a foil of insulation material is positioned underneath the connection point, where the foil rests against the insulation of the conductor and at least partially against the contact element. Subsequently, a sealing material capable of hardening is applied from above onto the conductor, wherein the sealing material is flowable during its application and subsequently changes over by hardening into a mechanically stable state which extends beyond the insulation of the conductor and beyond the contact element and is connected tightly to the foil.

  • Publication number: 20060008216
Abstract: A device for signal transmission includes two terminals, between which a flat ribbon line (10) is arranged, which runs in turns, forms a winding body, is housed in an essentially circular cassette, and has at least two parallel, spaced conductors (15) embedded in a sheath (16) made of insulating material. The cassette consists of a rotor that can rotate about the axis of the cassette, on which rotor one of the terminals is attached, and of a stationary stator, on which the other terminal is attached. The winding body of the flat ribbon line is arranged between the stator and rotor. To reduce the sliding friction between the flat ribbon line (10) and the plastic parts of the cassette, the sheath (16) of the flat ribbon line (10) is covered all the way around and over its entire length by a thin layer (17) of a cross-linked insulating material with very good antifriction properties.
