  • Publication number: 20170157832
Abstract: The present invention concerns a system for the further treatment of hollow body preforms produced by injection molding, comprising i) a receiving plate having at least one receiving cavity for receiving a preform, ii) a post-treatment system which has a) a post-treatment plate, b) at least one impression pin provided for changing the internal contour of the profile by either coming into contact with the inside of the preform during the post-treatment or closing the preform and acting on the inside space with a fluid under pressure, whereby the preform is inflated, and c) at least one post-treatment element which is provided for passing into the interior of a preform received in the receiving cavity or coming into contact with the preform, and iii) a movement device with which the receiving plate can be reciprocated relative to the post-treatment plate between a first position in which the impression pin is positioned within the receiving cavity, a second position in which the post-treatment element is pos

  • Patent number: 8182261
Abstract: A bottom insert for a mold cavity for the production of moldings of plastic material. The mold cavity has a main body with a hot side which has a recess for receiving molten plastic material under pressure and a cold side having a recess, the inside contour of which is intended to come into contact with the molding to be produced and to shape the outside contour thereof. A gate (17) is provided that connects the recess of the hot side to the recess of the cold side and is intended to introduce molten plastic material from the hot side into the cold side. In accordance with the invention there is provided a device for thermal insulation within the bottom insert between the hot side and the cold side of the bottom insert to permit more rapid cooling of the cold side by restricting heat flow from the hot side.

  • Patent number: 7798806
Abstract: A bottom insert for an injection mold, which insert is of a two-part configuration having a hot part which has a recess of the hot side and a cold part which has a recess of the cold side, wherein the cold part is arranged at least partially within the hot part so that the hot part at least portion-wise surrounds the cold part. The two parts of the bottom insert are preferably separable and the. hot part preferably has an opening in opposite relationship to the recess of the hot side for receiving the cold part. Further, the cold part and the hot part are desirably sealed off relative to each other, desirably by O-rings. In general, all surfaces which are provided for contact with the molding to be produced are arranged at the cold part. An insulating coating, an insulating membrane and/or a spacing element is desirably provided at the contact surface between the hot part and the cold part.

  • Patent number: 7306452
Abstract: A cooling system for cooling sleeves (2) fixed to a carrier plate (1), by means of a fluid which is passed from a fluid inlet (15) to a fluid outlet (22) by way of fluid conduits (7, 14, 10, 11, 21) supported by means of the carrier plate (1). The fluid conduits (7, 14, 10, 11, 21) include main supply conduits (7) and supply conduits (10, 11) which extend approximately transversely with respect to each other. The supply conduits extend in a mutually parallel relationship and are arranged in pairs in the carrier plate (1) and are connected to a row of sleeves (2) by way of intake (16) and discharge conduits (17). The row of sleeves (2) is so disposed between the supply conduits (10, 11) of a pair such that each sleeve (2) is connected to both supply conduits (10, 11), and fluid communication is interrupted (plug 24) in at least the one supply conduit (10) of the pair substantially at the middle of its longitudinal extent (l).
