  • Patent number: 8401754
Abstract: In a method for detecting the status of the clutch in the drive train of a motor vehicle, the engine speed and the speed are ascertained and a transmission ratio is formed as the quotient of the engine speed and speed. Furthermore, a reference value is determined, which is set equal to the transmission ratio from a first time step. In a subsequent time step, the difference between the instantaneous transmission ratio and the reference value is formed, a disengaged clutch status being detected if the difference exceeds a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6719377
Abstract: A method and device for driving a pump of a brake system, in which a pump motor achieves full drive for a particular time following a braking request from the brake system. During the subsequent clocked driving action, a drive signal is subjected to a pulse width modulation based on a direct comparison between a motor voltage and a voltage threshold value. Due to a subsequent comparison between the motor voltage and a safety threshold, and the resulting full drive for the particular time, an increased load on the pump causes the pump to produce the necessary delivery capacity. In addition, a selectable maximum off-time of the pump motor guarantees a minimum pump on-time per drive cycle. The pump can be made to achieve full drive prematurely as a function of certain conditions which can be subjected to a preventive check, thereby avoiding an excessively high load. It is also possible to coordinate the way in which different control strategies access the pump.

  • Patent number: 6659568
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for driving a brake system pump motor, which has the advantage of simultaneously allowing prioritized, individual braking strategies, using the present invention as a subsystem for intelligently driving the pump motor. • Patent number: 6604041
Abstract: A method and a system for limiting an engine torque of vehicles to a maximum value. In the method, signals representing wheel torques from wheel sensors at the drive train are acquired, the wheel torques, differentiated according to driving situations which can have a harmful influence on the transmission, differential or torque converter, then being checked for a wheel-torque value which is too high. If too high a value is found, the engine torque is limited or reduced.
