  • Patent number: 7410116
Abstract: A system for winding a cross-wound bobbin has a rotatably supported tube holder that is intended to receive a tube. The yarn guide element that serves the purpose of shogging the yarn moves in the direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the tube and is made to execute the oscillating reciprocating motion with the aid of a work cylinder. The work cylinder has the advantage that for braking the kinetic energy at the turning point of the yarn guide element, no additional external energy must be applied. It suffices for the applicable cylindrical chamber to be blocked off. Moreover, the gas compressed in the process can be used to accelerate the piston in the opposite direction. The stored braking energy also can be used simultaneously as acceleration energy. Since in the creation of a cross-wound bobbin many thousand such changes of direction occur, the energy savings are substantial.

  • Patent number: 7309667
Abstract: A fabric includes mutually transverse thread systems, with at least one of the thread systems including a differential shrinkage yarn C. The shrinkage yarn C has at least one effect component A that irreversibly elongates itself upon heat treatment, and at least one shrinkage component B that shortens itself upon heat treatment. The components A and B are bound together by nodes, wherein the number (y) of nodes per meter in the yarn C is predetermined as a function of the yarn count (x) of the transverse thread system so that the number (y) of nodes exceeds a minimum value and increases proportionally above the minimum value as a function of the yarn count (x).

  • Patent number: 7246764
Abstract: In a cross-wound bobbin (1), the helical lines along which the yarn (4) is wound have a different inclination in adjacent layers. The winding ratios are selected such that the quantity drawn off is greater if the unwinding point is moving from the unwinding end to the bottom end, compared to the quantity drawn off if the unwinding point is moving from the bottom end to the unwinding end.

  • Patent number: 7036532
Abstract: A shedding device in a jacquard loom, having a heddle with a retracting spring rigidly anchored in the loom or to the floor for urging the heddle to a lower shed forming position. To suppress the development of resonance in the spring, a core element is provided, which contacts the inside of the spring at points spaced apart from one another and forces the spring to take a course which deviates from the rectilinear. As a result, friction forces that contribute to damping the spring motion are created between the spring and the core element.

  • Publication number: 20050070188
Abstract: The invention relates to a woven fabric, in which at least one of the intersecting yarn systems contains a differential shrinking yarn (C), which consists of at least one decorative component (A) that elongates irreversibly during thermal treatment and at least one shrinking component (B), which contracts during thermal treatment. The components (A) and (B) are interconnected by means of entangled knots. The number of entangled knots per metre of yarn (C) in the finished woven fabric corresponds to the number of yarns in the intersecting yarn system. The woven fabric is produced in such a way that the components of the differential shrinking yarn are interconnected by air entanglement and in the finished woven fabric contain Ymin>98+0.7x entagled knots. After the entanglement process, the unsized yarns are interwoven as a warp with a weft in such a way that the number of weft yarns in the finished woven fabric is (X). The woven fabric obtained in this manner is subsequently thermally treated.

  • Patent number: 6303938
Abstract: A method for detecting untextured or defectively textured yarn segments in textured filament yarns during the texturing process, in which the textured yarn is continuously measured by the measurement, conditioning and evaluation of high-frequency measurement signals as evidence of untextured or defectively textured yarn segments.

  • Patent number: 6112386
Abstract: An apparatus for interlacing a multifilament yarn includes a housing with a conduit defined therethrough. A jet nozzle is configured with the housing. The jet nozzle includes a main channel symmetric to the yarn conduit axis and at least two side channels. The main channel directs a greater volume of pressurized air into a central region of the yarn conduit as compared to the side channels that direct a lesser volume of pressurized air to peripheral zones where substantially no interlacing of the yarn takes place.

  • Patent number: 4965916
Abstract: Interlacing means are provided for the interlacing of multifilament yarns exhibiting a yarn channel. At given distances from the entrance and exit openings forming the yarn channel, yarn guides are so arranged that, with the supply of compressed air shut off, the yarn is laid onto the yarn channel so that it extends parallel to its longitudinal direction, and that the straight yarn sections, which are located between the entrance and exit openings of the yarn channel and the yarn guides, are inclined at acute angles to portions of the geometric longitudinal axis of the yarn channel. Furthermore, the blow angle of the blow nozzle is smaller than 90.degree.. The length of the yarn channel equals for smooth yarns maximally 40 mm and for texturized yarns maximally 30 mm. There results exceptionally high yarn advance speeds and a particularly good vortexing of the yarn.

  • Patent number: 4406312
Abstract: The invention relates to a weaving loom which is provided with a selection device allowing the programmed selection of that weft thread among a plurality of threads which has to be inserted into the weaving shed by means of an insertion device. The selection device comprises a program control device and a positioning device controlled by such program control device, which positioning device moves the weft thread carrier so that only the selected weft thread is brought to an active position ready to be inserted into the weaving shed. The selection device comprises a microcomputer provided with a microprocessor, a read-only memory, a pattern computer and a keyboard intended for programming and operating. The positioning device is provided with electromagnets controlled by program control signals of the program control device, which electromagnets control the positioning of the weft thread carriers so as to move the weft threads from the passive positions to the active positions and vice-versa.
