  • Patent number: 7846052
Abstract: A self-propelled harvesting machine is provided that has operating devices to take-up and/or process harvested crop, which can be driven by means of a drive belt, that can be driven by a belt pulley about an axis of rotation extending horizontally and transverse to the forward operating direction of the harvesting machine. Two internal combustion engines are provided on the harvesting machine and each are supported on the frame arranged side by side alongside each other relative to the forward operating direction, with crankshafts extending in the forward operating direction. A connecting gearbox is arranged ahead of the internal combustion engines in the forward direction of operation and is connected or can be connected so as to drive with the first crankshaft, the second crankshaft and the belt pulley. The connecting gearbox includes two angle gearboxes that are connected to a transverse shaft arranged in the transverse direction that is connected or may be connected, in turn, with the belt pulley.

  • Patent number: 7213389
Abstract: A mechanism for powering a combine header unit at infinitely variable speeds. A primary motor is coupled to a primary input shaft via a clutch, a variable-speed secondary motor is directly coupled to a secondary input shaft, and the header unit coupled to a header output shaft. A planetary gear-train couples the primary input shaft, the secondary input shaft, and the header output shaft to each other. A primary brake is coupled to the primary input shaft, and a secondary brake coupled to the secondary input shaft. A control circuit is employed to command the operation of the clutch, the secondary motor, the primary brake, and the secondary brake in response to operator commands.

  • Patent number: 5803556
Abstract: A hydraulic brake system with skid control is provided with digitally switchable inlet and outlet valves. An inlet valve includes a variable flow area valve control that is actuated as a function of differential pressures in order to reduce the valve noise.

  • Patent number: 5694808
Abstract: A system for testing the operability of hydraulic devices, in particular pumps, by way of a compressible medium, for example air. In addition, the testing method disclosed permits tracing other defects which may appear.

  • Patent number: 4072888
Abstract: Method and apparatus for controlling a stepping motor by storing in a memory, delay time values for the application of motor advance pulses and using motor feedback pulses to access the memory and read out corresponding time delay values after each of which a motor advance pulse is to be generated. The stored time delay values are optimized as to phase angle for the motor advance pulses for acceleration, constant run and deceleration modes of the motor after consideration of motor characteristics and load. Not all feedback pulses have a corresponding time delay value and certain feedback pulses may have two or more time delay values stored therefor. Also disclosed are improved motor coil switching circuits.

  • Patent number: 4068224
Abstract: Alphanumeric characters are stored in compressed form by creating a character list of information describing each character. The character is divided into rows and columns. To reconstruct the character, a position register is provided to accommodate successive positional values in a column where a transition from white/black (or vice versa) occurs. A decoder circuit, which has a number of outputs corresponding to the number of positional values possible, is coupled to the position register and provides an output associated with each of the transition values. The decoder circuit is followed by control means which is operable in response to the energized outputs of the decoder circuit to generate control signals which energize a utilization device to reconstruct continuous black areas in a column extending from transition value to transition value.
