  • Patent number: 5642988
Abstract: A radial piston pump (1), preferably for pressure medium supply of an anti-lock system of vehicle brakes, with a rotating pump shaft (3), an end section of which has a pivot (5) extending eccentrically to a longitudinal center axis of the pump shaft (3), there being arranged on the pivot (5) a rolling bearing on whose outer ring (9) are supported by their plane end faces (13) pump plungers (12) in star arrangement in a pump housing (2) and extending radially to the pump shaft (3), characterized in that the rolling bearing is designed as a needle bearing (6) with the needle elements rolling directly against the shaft pivot (5), the outer ring (9) being produced as a deep-drawn sheet metal ring with chiplessly formed edges (10,11) on both sides, in which needle-shaped rolling elements (7) are guided via a cage (8) and in which the outer ring (9) is made with a core hardness of at least 300 HV1.

  • Patent number: 4876997
Abstract: A self-adjusting hydraulic valve tappet arranged in a guide bore of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine against whose one end face a cam abuts and whose other end face lies against a valve stem which avoids the disadvantages of the prior art and achieves a durable self-tightness of the sleeve with respect to the oil reservoir independently of the deflections of the end member by using simple constructional and particularly hardly more expensive means.

  • Patent number: 4477714
Abstract: A novel method of leak proof attachment of the outer edge of a flange-type sheet metal element in the bore of a steel cup-shaped valve tappet acting as a hydraulic play-compensating element for a combustion engine comprising (a) reducing the diameter of the bore of the valve tappet in two steps from the open end, the axial spacing of the two steps being greater than the thickness of the sheet metal element, (b) placing the outer edge of the sheet metal element on the second step and (c) simultaneously axially applying pressure on the first step with a die and heating by electric resistance with leads connected to the die and the hold-down ram and apparatus for the process and the product produced thereby.
