Abstract: A metal separator for separating metallic parts in a material flow formed by part icles is described. The material flow passing vertically through the metal separator from a top of the metal separator. The metal separator may include (i) a separation module holding a separation unit; and (ii) a detection module including a metal detection element which is detachably connected to the separation module. The separation module is arranged vertically below the detection module.

Abstract: A machine and method for adjustment of the tooling of a forming machine while continuously operating such machine. The adjusting device being located in a movable or stationary machine part, such as the upper tool part. A measuring device for measuring the cutting and forming result, the measuring signals of which are used to set an actuator which actuates the adjusting device is included. The adjusting device can be actuated by a servo-motor fixed with respect to a stationary machine part. The output shaft of the servo-motor can be coupled with the adjusting device via a transmission arranged on the movable machine part, the driving-sided part of the transmission being arranged on the output shaft of the servo-motor to be slidably displaceable in the direction of movement of the movable machine part and rotatable with the motor output shaft.

Abstract: Described is a method for measuring and correcting the plunger adjustment in high-speed stroke presses. The plungers are used for cutting, punching, bending and/or embossing semi-finished goods or the like with high tolerance requirements. The plunger must be readjusted in accordance with the number of strokes per minute and the plunging depth of the plunger is measured. This is carried out using a detector head being provided with a plurality of induction loops, which is guided with the plunger stroke along a permanent magnetic strip, whose longitudinal extension is subdivided into alternating North/South poles. The induced voltage development is scanned through cosine and sine functions of the induction coils for any predetermined travel unit, and the amplitudes of the two functions are measured and evaluated at the turnover point.
