    Abstract: A butt joint includes a first hollow profile member having a projecting first stop. The first stop has a first web and a groove-bounding web. A second hollow profile member is connected to the first hollow profile member to form an inside corner. The second profile member has a projecting second stop. The second stop has a first web and a groove-bounding web. A reinforcement part is disposed adjacent to the inside corner. The reinforcement part is elastically deformable and is supported by the first stop and the second stop.
