Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a Pose Correction Engine (“Engine”). The Engine generates a reference image of the object of interest. The reference image portrays the object of interest oriented according to a first pose. The Engine receives a source image of an instance of the object. The source image portrays the instance of the object oriented according to a variation of the first pose. The Engine determines a difference between the first pose of the reference image and the variation of the first pose of the source image. The Engine identifies, based on the determined difference, one or portions of a three-dimensional (3D) map of a shape of the object obscured by the variation of the first pose portrayed in the source image. The Engine generates a pose corrected image of the instance of the object that portrays at least a portion of the source image and at least the identified portion of the 3D map of the shape of the object.

Abstract: A resource matching technique between a primary site and one or more secondary sites accommodates a configuration update of a virtual machine (VM) in a disaster recovery (DR) environment. The resource matching technique determines whether a proposed resource configuration update or change to a primary VM running at the primary site is permissible on a secondary VM configured for failover operation at a secondary site in the event of failure to the primary VM. The technique continuously monitors the availability of resources at each secondary site and enables negotiation between the primary and secondary sites of the proposed configuration change based on corresponding indications resource availability. The resources may include generic resources (e.g., memory, storage capacity and CPU processing capacity) and specialized resources (e.g., GPU types and/or models).

Abstract: A method and system for authenticating a payment transaction. The method includes receiving a request for verifying a phone number associated with a Subscriber Identification Module card from a merchant application installed in the user device. Further, obtaining a first key from at least one of a server associated with a manufacturer of the user device and a network server. Furthermore, generating a first cryptogram based on at least one of the phone number and a unique identification value associated with the user device using the first key, wherein the first cryptogram is provided to the server associated with the manufacturer for verification. Upon verification of the first cryptogram, the method includes receiving a second cryptogram from the server associated with the manufacturer, wherein the merchant application provides the second cryptogram and payment transaction details to an issuer server for authentication of the payment transaction.

Abstract: A power supply system includes a direct current (DC) power source and a protection circuit having input and an input and an output, the input is operably coupled to the DC power so that, in operation, it receives DC power from the DC power source. The protection circuit includes a first path and a second path that both electrically couple the input to the output, and current passes, in operation, primarily through the first path when a voltage at the input is greater than a threshold voltage related to a Zener diode in the second path and primarily through the second path when the voltage at the input is below the threshold voltage. The system also includes a voltage regulator having an input coupled to the output of the protection circuit.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, computer program product and system. The method may comprise providing a first graph being an instance of a first ontology. Sample values of a plurality of concept attributes may be collected from the first graph. The sample values may be clustered into one or more clusters based on content and/or format of the sample values. A cluster of the clusters that contains sample values representing different concept attributes may be identified. An additional concept and associated set of relations representing the concept attribute values of the cluster may be determined and the first ontology may be updated using the additional concept and associated set of relations.

Abstract: A boarding pass may include a barcode with an encoded seat identifier. An overhead storage system may include a barcode reader configured to read the barcode of the boarding pass. The system may determine whether the boarding pass is eligible to access an overhead bin based on the encoded seat identifier. Where the boarding pass is eligible, a signal may be sent to one or more actuators of the overhead bin. Thus, a user may selectively access the overhead bin by the boarding pass.

A bayonet-type connection device connects connection head and treatment unit to each other by a plug-in/rotation movement about a connection axis of the treatment device and is provided with a housing connection part and a head connection part that operatively engage each other to form a connection of the bayonet-type connection device. Abstract: The present invention relates to communications methods and apparatus for detecting and/or mitigating split brain occurrences in high availability systems. A split brain condition being a condition wherein both a standby processing node and another processing node of a cluster of processing nodes included in a high availability system are both operating at the same time in an active mode of operation. An exemplary method embodiment of operating a high availability system including a plurality of processing nodes includes the steps of determining at a standby processing node that a failure condition exists, said standby processing node being one of the cluster of processing nodes; switching the standby processing node from a standby mode of operation to an active mode of operation in response to determining that a failure condition exists; and determining whether the high availability system is experiencing a split brain condition.

Abstract: A computer device identifies a set of documents for classification. The computing device classifies documents of a first subset of the set of documents based, at least in part, on a text analysis of the documents of the first subset. The computing device trains a document classifier using, as training data: (i) results of the classifying of the documents of the first subset, and (ii) metadata associated with the documents of the first subset. The computing device classifies documents of a second subset of the set of documents by providing metadata of the documents of the second subset to the trained document classifier.

Abstract: A system and method include classifying and assigning virtual disks accessed from compute only nodes. The method determines, by a management processor of a virtual computing system, characteristics for a plurality of virtual disks hosted on a plurality of hyper converged nodes in a cluster of nodes in the virtual computing system. The method further classifies, by the management processor, each of the plurality of virtual disks based on the determined characteristics and identifies, by the management processor, one of the plurality of virtual disks to host data for a virtual machine on a compute only node based on the classification to spread out input-output demand in the cluster, reducing probability of input-output bottlenecks and increasing cluster-wide storage throughput. The method also assigns, by the management processor, the identified virtual disk to host data for the virtual machine located on the compute only node.

Abstract: In an approach to improving machine learning model training for data matching from manual decisions, one or more computer processors detect a correction made to two data records. One or more computer processors determine a common attribute between the two data records. One or more computer processors identify a first machine learning model associated with the common attribute. One or more computer processors add comparison data of the two data records to training data for the machine learning model, where the comparison data includes the correction.

Abstract: System and method for performing diagnostics in a multi-cloud system triggers a diagnostic workflow in a first cloud computing environment of the multi-cloud system in response to an event in the multi-cloud system and execute the diagnostic workflow in the first cloud computing environment by identifying components in the multi-cloud system that are affected by the event and obtaining probes for the identified components. For each component of the identified components, a sub-flow of the diagnostic workflow is started to run at least one probe of the obtained probes to generate a diagnostic result of the component. A diagnostic report is generated based on the diagnostic result of each component of the identified components.

Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for authenticating digital transactions. The method includes receiving a device registration request and a device attestation response including at least a device integrity status from a device. In response to the device registration request, the method includes providing a device registration response to the device, based on validation of the device integrity status. Further, the method includes receiving a first payment transaction request and an enrolment request from the device via an application to authenticate a second payment transaction request using a first type of authentication technique. Finally, the method includes enrolling the device to the first type of authentication technique and providing a second token to the device based on a result of the first payment transaction request, wherein the second token is used for authenticating the second payment transaction request.
