  • Publication number: 20150264422
Abstract: A terminal remote control method, including sending, by a set top box, application information to a mobile terminal, where the application information is used to instruct the mobile terminal to acquire, using a web page server, a control user interface (UI) for remote control on the set top box, the application information carries address information of the control UI and connection information that is required by the mobile terminal for establishing a connection to the set top box using the web page server; receiving, by the set top box, an operation instruction that is sent by the mobile terminal on the control UI using the web page server; and performing, by the set top box, an operation according to the operation instruction. Therefore, a remote control operation performed by the mobile terminal on the set top box is implemented.

  • Publication number: 20150010751
Abstract: Method and apparatus for protecting a metal substrate from corrosion. The method comprises generating an acid organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel; providing a polyaniline solution; combining the sol-gel with the polyaniline solution; incorporating a polysiloxane within the organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel, the polyaniline solution or the combined sol-gel and polyaniline solution; coating the substrate with the polysiloxane sol-gel polyaniline solution; and curing the coating at the substrate, such that the coating is chemically bonded to the substrate, the coating comprising a polysiloxane based network having a Si—O backbone.

  • Publication number: 20130029134
Abstract: Method and apparatus for protecting a metal substrate from corrosion. The method comprises generating an acid catalysed sol-gel which is combined with a polyaniline solution before coating onto a metal substrate. The coating is then cured and optionally activated by subjecting the coating to alkaline conditions. The resultant metal substrate coating comprises an inter-mediate layer having a composition resultant from the reaction of the sol-gel layer with the substrate such that the sol-gel coating is chemically bonded to the substrate via the intermediate layer.

  • Publication number: 20120141805
Abstract: A method of preparing a substrate using a sol-gel derived coating incorporating a microorganism. The coating is configured to inhibit microbial induced corrosion (MIC) and/or biofouling at the substrate-coating interface. The coating is prepared by mixing a sol with a suspension comprising the microorganism, applying the mixture onto a substrate followed by curing such that the resultant coating is chemically bonded to the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20110311591
Abstract: A substrate (100) comprising a sol-gel derived coating (101). The coating, is chemically bonded to the substrate (100) and is derived from a polysiloxane to form a network of silicon-carbon and silicon-oxygen bonds. An antimicrobial is releasably captured within the network and is capable of defusing from the coating in vivo in response to introduction of a fluid into the coating.
