Patent number: 8762937Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for model driven deployment of component based applications. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for model driven deployment of component based applications can include selecting units representative of corresponding programmatic objects to be deployed into a target environment and specifying a deployment topology for the target environment. The method also can include matching portions of the units to different automation signatures and filtering the different automation signatures to a set of automation signatures based upon the deployment topology. The set of automation signatures can be ordered according to known dependencies of a corresponding deployment model and the ordered set of automation signatures can be bundled into an automation workflow and published to an automation engine for execution to deploy the programmatic objects into the target environment.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2012Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Daniel C. Berg, Brad L. Blancett, Michael D. Elder, Chad M. Holliday, Alexander V. Konstantinou, Timothy A. Pouyer, Edward C. Snible, Hendra Suwanda, John E. Swanke

Publication number: 20070179880Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to negotiation limits management and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and apparatus for managing negotiation limits in an e-commerce system. In an embodiment of the invention, an e-commerce data processing system configured for negotiation limit management can include one or more trading agreements defining sales term limits for a sales transaction, pricing logic and negotiation limit logic. The pricing logic can include program code enabled to establish pricing for a customer based upon an established one of the trading agreements. Also, negotiation limit logic can include program code enabled to establish sales term limits for a sales representative also based upon an established one of the trading agreements. Thus, the limitation of negotiation limits for a sales representative can be enforced through the processing of the same type of trading agreement utilized to manage the pricing of a product for a customer.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2006Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Howard Borenstein, Chang Li, Lev Mirlas, Hendra Suwanda

Publication number: 20020065768Abstract: A computer system defines a set of electronic catalogs. The catalogs each have an associated contract and each user of the catalogs is associated with a contract. The set of catalogs is represented as a graph. Nodes in the graph represent contracts, catalogs, categories, products and prices. Edges in the graph are labelled with a catalog identifier or a contract identifier. The graph is traversed to display data to the user. The traversal of the graph by a given user is constrained so that the user's contract and catalog matches the edge labelling of the traversal.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2001Publication date: May 30, 2002Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Hendra Suwanda, Yumman Chan, Miu-to Brenda Lam
