    Abstract: An end cap assembly for a fastener installation tool is shown. The end cap assembly includes an end cap received within a housing of the fastener installation tool. The end cap assembly also includes a protective cover plate positioned to cover the joint between the end cap and the housing. The end cap assembly further includes a lock for preventing the end cap from disengaging the housing when the end cap is positioned within the housing. The end cap is configured with a countersink and corresponding driver to facilitate removal of the end cap from the housing of the fastener installation tool even if the housing has been deformed.
