Abstract: A mowing device comprises a transverse housing and cutters rotatably mounted thereon, each cutting member comprising at least one lower ring skimming the top surface of the housing and having a substantially circular, uninterrupted circumference, an upper ring covering the lower ring and at least one cutter fastened at the circumference of the cutting member between the upper and lower rings to a pin, the cutters of adjacent cutting members being relatively off-set in the circumferential direction. Upon an impact on a stone the cutter may bent over upwardly. In order to reduce the risk of damage of the cutting members and to maintain a more sharply defined level of the paths of the undamaged cutters the lower ring of each cutting member is left uncovered at the area of the passing path of each cutter of a neighboring cutting member.

Abstract: A mower comprises a housing extending transversely of the direction of movement of the mower, wherein cutting members rotatably journalled on said housing each comprises one lower ring sweeping across the housing, an upper ring arranged above the lower ring and three cutters arranged at the circumference of the cutting member between the upper and lower rings each on one pin, while the lower ring of each cutting member is uncovered at the area of the path of each cutter of a neighboring cutting member. The upper ring is substantially triangular with rounded-off corners in which the cutters are fastened in order to reduce the risk of damage of the cutting member and to hold the paths of the undamaged cutters more constantly at the same level.

Abstract: A mowing device comprises a housing extending transversely of the direction of movement of said device, a plurality of cutting members rotatably journalled on said housing and a driving gear accommodated in said housing for driving the cutting members, each cutting member comprising at least one ring skimming the top side of the housing and at least one cutter fastened to the periphery and the top side of said ring. In order to prevent that the ring of the rotating cutting member cuts into the soil when the mowing device strikes a small hill, a ground scanner is secured to the housing and extends forwardly away from the housing beneath a cutting member.

Abstract: A mowing device having rotating cutting members above a transverse housing comprises a screen arranged near one end of said housing and having a front portion disposed in front of the outermost cutting member, viewed in the direction of travel, and being located just inside the outermost path of said cutting member but at a higher level than said cutting member. In order to provide a distinct separation between mown crop and the crop still to be cut the lower rim of the screen near the outermost cutting member is disposed further outwardly than the front portion and outside the outermost cutting member, the lower rim of the screen being located at a higher level than the supporting surface, that is to say, approximately at the cutting level of the outermost cutting member.

Abstract: In a mowing device comprising a frame, cutting members supported by the frame and being movable in a horizontal plane and at least one rotor journalled in said frame so as to be rotatable about a rotary axis for transporting cut crop, said rotor comprising at least one support and at least one catch connected with the support so as to be pivotable about a pivotal axis and adapted to engage the crop, for maintaining the catch in its predetermined position the catch abuts against a stop, viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotor, whilst the center of gravity of the catch is located behind the radial plane going through the pivotal axis.

Abstract: In a mowing implement, wherein mowing members are rotatably journalled above a housing accommodating a driving gear, stones may be jammed between the mowing members and the housing.Damage of the mowing implement through stones is avoided in that each mowing member mainly comprises two cutter supports adapted to turn upwardly with respect to the driving member each about a horizontal axis, which is located near the upright rotary axis of the associated driving member.

Abstract: In a vehicle comprising on each side one substantially horizontal jointed cross-shaft axle, a cradle frame pivotally journalled on said cross-shaft axle and consisting of one central section and two arms and two wheels supporting the cross-shaft axle and journalled each on one arm of the cradle frame, the wheels skid in bends. Consequently, the tyres are subject to heavy wear. When the vehicle is being used for agriculture, the structure of the soil is deteriorated by the skidding movement of the wheels. In order to prevent the skidding movement of the wheels, the arms are connected with the central section of the cradle frame so as to be pivotable about an upright axis.

Abstract: A mowing implement comprises a housing extending transversely of the direction of travel of the implement, said housing being connected via a foot which is directed rearwardly from the housing with suspension means for fastening the housing to a vehicle. As a result the mowing implement may be fastened firmly to the vehicle.
