    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of digitizing physical objects. With this method it is possible to capture not only the shape (and color) of an object, but also its transparency properties. This is done by taking multiple snapshots while controlling the back-lighting of the object. A specific embodiment is based on a camera for capturing the images, and an LCD screen for controlling the back-lighting.
