  • Patent number: 10209234
Abstract: The present invention involves a multimodal sensor network for analyte detection. A first mode may involve low-power detection and a second mode may involve determining an analyte concentration and transmitting data associated with the analyte concentration. Specifically, the first mode may include establishing an analyte sensor network in a detection region, detecting an analyte in the detection region, and generating an electrical signal in response to the detecting the analyte. In response to the electrical signal exceeding a first threshold, the analyte detection system may operate in the second mode. The second mode may include requesting data associated with the one or more environmental conditions, determining an analyte concentration based on one or more environmental conditions transmitting data associated with the analyte concentration.

  • Publication number: 20190050687
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving one or more training images depicting one or more training geographical regions. One or more environmental characteristic (EC) values are determined for the training images. The EC values include at least one EC value for each of the training images. One or more models are generated for mapping an EC value of an image to a determination of whether an artifact is present in a geographical region depicted by the image, based on the EC values and based on knowledge of which of the training images depict training geographical regions having artifacts present. A new image is received depicting a new geographical region. The models are applied to the new image. A probability that a new artifact is present in the new geographical region depicted in the new image is determined, based on the applying the models to the new image.

  • Patent number: 9924645
Abstract: A valve body has a piston that slides within the body through four successive positions. The piston has a head, and an upper and lower skirt, with a port in the upper skirt. In the first position, a bias force urges the piston to the first of four positions, in which the piston port is closed. In a second position, the piston port aligns with a low pressure port in the valve body, when a low pressure supply of water is connected. In a third position, greater pressure again closes the piston port. In a fourth position, at a still greater pressure, the piston port aligns with a high pressure port in the valve body. The bias force or a location of the piston port can be varied for valves along a supply line, whereby varying supply pressure opens different valves, thereby enabling addressing of valves according to supply pressure.
