  • Patent number: 11553142
Abstract: A method for depicting a three-dimensional object in a real environment, depicted in a final video played back on a monitor, includes the steps of generating at least one object video by filming the object with a camera from different filming directions for generating an object video, wherein the angle of an optical axis of the camera in relation to a central axis of the object is in each case determined for the respective filming direction, so that an angle can be associated with each filming direction. The method also includes generating a live video with at least one live camera and simultaneously inserting the object video into the live video at a defined position in the environment for generating the final video, and changing the position of the live camera in the environment and simultaneously depicting the object in the final video in a desired perspective in the environment.

  • Patent number: 9881377
Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining the distinct location of an image-recording camera within an environment, using visually detectable structures includes the image-recording camera, a measuring camera permanently mounted thereon, and an evaluation unit configured to ascertain the distinct location of the image-recording camera from the measuring camera image structures. The two cameras are oriented to record a common detail from the environment, containing structures that are visually detectable by the two cameras in their images. The measuring camera is connected to the evaluation unit, which is designed to ascertain the distinct location of the image-recording camera from the environment structures detected by the measuring camera.

  • Patent number: 8319955
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for determining the position and orientation of a movable object. The latter exhibits at least two relative sensors (24) on the object, which register a change in the position and/or orientation of the object, and at least two absolute sensors (26) on the object, each for determining the absolute position in an X direction and Y direction in relation to a substrate (20). The invention further relates to a method for determining the position and orientation.

  • Patent number: 6856935
Abstract: A camera tracking system for a virtual television or video studio is provided. The camera tracking system is used to determine the position and/or orientation of recording cameras and comprises emitter devices for emitting electromagnetic radiation. The emitter devices can be mechanically coupled to the recording camera. The camera tracking system further comprises detecting devices for detecting the position of the emitter devices on the basis of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter devices, each detecting device being able to detect several emitter devices. A computer unit evaluates the electromagnetic radiation detected by the detecting devices and emitted by the emitter device, and determines the position and/or orientation of the emitter devices in relation to the detecting devices.
