  • Publication number: 20180266893
Abstract: A method for measuring a temperature inside a kitchen appliance, in particular a temperature of an item to be cooked, inside a kitchen appliance, includes: transmitting an electromagnetic excitation signal using a transmission-receiving device, receiving the excitation signal by a temperature sensor, which is arranged in the kitchen appliance, in particular in the item to be cooked, transmitting a temperature-dependent response signal by the temperature sensor, receiving the response signal by the transmission-receiving device, determining the current temperature by comparing the response signal to temperature-dependent reference signals. To also provide for an interaction between a plurality of kitchen appliances, the transmission-receiving device transmits the response signal or partial information of the response signal and/or the value of a current temperature, which is determined by the transmission-receiving device, to a control device of a further kitchen appliance or to an external processor.

  • Publication number: 20180213992
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-propelled floor treatment device (1), in particular to a cleaning robot, with a floor treatment element (2), at least two motorized wheels (3, 4) and a detection device for detecting a floor type of a surface to be treated. In order to easily achieve an optimal detection of the floor type, it is proposed that the detection device have a frictional resistance element (6), which contacts the surface during a movement in such a way that a resultant force outside of a reference axis (7) acts on the floor treatment device (1), wherein the reference axis (7) is oriented parallel to a main direction of movement (8) of the floor treatment device (1) prescribed by the orientation of the wheels (3, 4), and is aligned centrally between the wheels (3, 4) in relation to a direction perpendicular to the reference axis (7). Further proposed is a method for operating a self-propelled floor treatment device (1).

  • Publication number: 20170099984
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically operated food processor (1) for preparing a cooked product, which exhibits a basic unit (14), a vessel (2) with an agitator (18) that can be inserted into the basic unit (14), a heating device (9) allocated to the vessel (2), a temperature sensor (5), a transceiver device (12) for communicating with the temperature sensor (5), and an evaluator (13) for evaluating the measurement data received from the temperature sensor (5). In order to provide an electric food processor (1) with an alternative connection between the temperature sensor (5) and evaluator (13), it is proposed that the temperature sensor (5) be a surface acoustic wave sensor (SAW sensor).
