  • Publication number: 20240052634
Abstract: The present invention concerns a concrete strip, the strip comprising conventional concrete and a combined reinforcement of both post-tension steel strands and fibers, said post-tension steel strands—having a diameter ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm, —having a tensile strength higher than 1700 MPa, said fibers being either steel fibers and being present in a dosage ranging from 5 kg/m3 to 90 kg/m3 or being non-steel fibers and being present in a dosage ranging from 0.6 kg/m3 to 25 kg/m3, whereby the strip has a thickness, whereby further the length of the strip is according to the formula:length of the strip>30×strip thickness.

  • Publication number: 20240026683
Abstract: The present invention concerns a concrete slab resting on at least two supports, the slab comprising conventional concrete and a combined reinforcement of both draped post-tension steel strands and fibers, said post-tension steel strands—having a diameter ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm, —having a tensile strength higher than 1700 MPa, said fibers being either steel fibers and being present in a dosage ranging from 10 kg/m3 to 75 kg/m3 or being macro-synthetic fibers and being present in a dosage ranging from 1.5 kg/m3 to 9.0 kg/m3, whereby the slab and the supports are fully connected, partially connected or fully disconnected.

  • Publication number: 20230151611
Abstract: A concrete slab (20) comprises conventional concrete and a combined reinforcement of both post-tension steel strands (22, 26) and fibres (29). The post-tension steel strands (22, 26): —have a diameter ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm, —have a tensile strength higher than 1700 MPa. The fibres (29) are present in a dosage ranging from 10 kg/m3 to 40 kg/m3 in case of steel fibres are in a dosage ranging from 1.5 kg/m3 to 9 kg/m3 in case of macro-synthetic fibres.

  • Publication number: 20140215958
Abstract: The invention relates to a holder for a wall tie (100) designed to receive and hold a wall tie (400). The holder is provided with a first open-ended slot (208) and with a second open-ended slot. The first open-ended slot has a first open end and the second open-ended slot has a second open end. The first open-end and the second open-end are oriented in different directions. The holder according to the present invention allows quick and easy introduction of a wall tie in the holder. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a holder for a wall tie and a wall tie and to a wall tie. Furthermore the invention relates to a method to install a wall tie in a holder for a wall tie.

  • Patent number: 6269602
Abstract: A fixed construction (10) comprises rigid piles (12) and a monolithic concrete floor slab resting (14) on the piles. The floor slab comprises straight zones connecting in two directions, ie. lengthwise and broadwise, the shortest distance between the areas of the floor slab above the piles. The floor slab (14) is reinforced by a combination of: (a) fibres (22) distributed over the volume of the floor slab (14); and (b) steel bars (16, 16′) located in those straight zones. This construction reduces considerably the amount of reinforcement steel, increases the bearing capacity and enables to reduce the time for making such a construction.
