    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for winding an element built up of at least one elongate, threadlike strand on a winding element, said device comprising a frame provided with at least: an inlet for the elongate, threadlike element, and a winding element to be rotatably driven about a winding shaft, said device furthermore comprising drive means at least for rotatably driving the winding element. According to the invention, the winding device is characterized in that twisting means are mounted in the frame, which twisting means impart one or more turns (twists in the case of a singlestrand elongate, threadlike element, or twines in the case of a multistring elongate, threadlike element) per unit length to the elongate, threadlike element before said elongate, threadlike element is wound on the winding element.
