Patent number: 8115395Abstract: A self-dusting lamp device includes a housing, a heat-dissipating module, a lighting element and a controlling unit. The housing has an air inlet portion and an air outlet portion on the outer periphery thereof. The heat-dissipating module has a heat-dissipating fan mounted in the housing. The lighting element is coupled to the heat-dissipating module for illumination. The controlling unit has a driving circuit electrically connected to the heat-dissipating fan and a direction controlling circuit electrically connected to the driving circuit. The direction controlling circuit controls the heat-dissipating fan to rotate in a normal direction for dissipating heat or to rotate in a dusting direction for dusting down the housing through the driving circuit.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2009Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Alex Horng, Masaharu Miyahara, Heng-Yu Hu

Publication number: 20100295436Abstract: A lamp includes a housing, a heat sink, a light emitter, a fan and a blocking ring. The housing has an air inlet portion and an air outlet portion formed in a wall of the housing. The heat sink includes a base plate and a plurality of fins surrounding the base plate to define a compartment. Each of the fins have a first end facing the air inlet portion of the housing and a second end connecting with the base plate. The light emitter is fixed to the base plate of the heat sink. The fan is fixed inside the compartment of the heat sink. The blocking ring is mounted between the air inlet portion and the heat sink. Accordingly, the blocking ring blocks part of the heated airflow from flowing back to the air inlet portion and turbulence is avoided effectively. Therefore, the airflow inside the housing can flow smoothly through the air outlet to transfer heat to the environment and heat dissipating efficiency is enhanced.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2009Publication date: November 25, 2010Inventors: Alex Horng, Chih-Hao Chung, Heng-Yu Hu, Ming-Tsung Li

Patent number: 7575346Abstract: A lamp comprises a housing, a heat sink, a light emitting member, a fan and a blocking ring. The housing includes an outlet section and an inlet section formed on the wall thereof. The heat sink is mounted inside the housing and includes a base plate and a plurality of fins, with the fins being close to the outlet section of the housing and arranged around the base plate to form a chamber. Each of the fins has a first end facing the inlet section of the housing and a second end connecting with the base plate. The light emitting member is fixed to the base plate of the heat sink. The fan is fixed inside the chamber of the heat sink. The blocking ring is mounted inside the housing and between the inlet section and the heat sink and includes an inlet hole aligned with the chamber of the heat sink. By the blocking ring, parts of the heated air flows are blocked from flowing back to the inlet section to avoid turbulence resulting from flowing back air flows.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2008Date of Patent: August 18, 2009Assignee: Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Alex Horng, Zhi-Hao Zhong, Heng-Yu Hu
