  • Patent number: 8230952
Abstract: Earth-boring tools comprise a bit body comprising a face and a plurality of blades extending radially outward over the face and forming gage regions. A shank is coupled to the bit body and includes a threaded portion for connecting to a drill string. A sleeve structure is positioned adjacent to the bit body and surrounds a portion of the shank, the sleeve structure extending from adjacent the bit body to proximate the threaded portion of the shank. An outer surface of the sleeve structure comprises a plurality of circumferentially spaced gage pads extending thereover and may comprise a plurality of breaker flats.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 30, 2008
Date of Patent: July 31, 2012
    Assignee: Baker Hughes Incorporated
Inventors: Thorsten Schwefe, Henning Finke, Thomas Ganz
  • Patent number: 8191657
Abstract: A drill bit for cutting casing employing a plurality of discrete, abrasive particulate-impregnated cutting structures having cutting structures therein extending upwardly from abrasive particulate-impregnated blades, which define a plurality of fluid passages therebetween on the bit face. Additional cutting elements may be placed in the inverted cone of the bit surrounding the centerline thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 28, 2009
Date of Patent: June 5, 2012
    Assignee: Baker Hughes Incorporated
    Inventors: Volker Richert, Henning Finke

  • Patent number: 7670048
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive unit (12) for vertical or horizontal movement of a component (7) of a diagnostic X-ray device (1), comprising a motor and gear unit (14), a pulley (10) mounted on a drive shaft (13) of the motor and gear unit (14), and traction means (9), e.g. a rope or a drive belt, wound around the pulley (10), the component (7) to be moved being either attached to the traction means (9) or connected with the drive unit (12).

  • Patent number: 7654738
Abstract: The invention relates to a ceiling support system for a movable component (7) of a diagnostic X-ray device (1). The system comprises a horizontally movable carriage (8), a crane (9) attached to the carriage (8), which crane (9) is vertically extensible and contractible by means of telescoping sections (10), and at least one flexible electrical cable (17) for the power supply and/or for the control of the movable component (7). In order to provide such a ceiling support system with improved movability of the X-ray tube and/or the X-ray image detector, the invention suggests that the electrical cable (17) is led from the carriage (8) through the telescoping sections (10) of the crane (9), wherein a cable drum (18) is arranged at the top end of the crane (9) for winding the electrical cable (17) during vertical movement of the component (7).
