  • Patent number: 10866132
Abstract: A valve for connecting and disconnecting two fluid ports, that has a valve member which is movable between an open position, where the ports are in fluid communication and a first closed position where the first and second ports are not in fluid communication can be used to alter the volume of a gas being confined in a reservoir being connected to the valve, if the valve member can be moved into a second closed position in which the valve remains closed and the volume of a chamber being in fluid communication with the reservoir is altered.

  • Publication number: 20200001711
Abstract: A pedal emulator (20, 100) is provided. The pedal emulator includes an emulator piston (28, 102) coupled to a damper (46, D1) that is contained within a housing (22, 104). The damper is surrounded by first (34, S1) and second (38, S2) springs that are carried by a lower spring seat (114), the lower spring seat being upwardly biased by a third spring (S3), for example a wave spring. The first and second springs and the third spring cooperate to provide a counter-force that is tailored to the desired feel of the pedal. First and second sensors measure travel (72,74) and force in response to downward compression of the emulator piston, and the damper provides hysteresis upon return travel of the emulator piston.

  • Publication number: 20190292830
Abstract: A system having a cover for a motor vehicle, in particular a fuel cap or a charging port cover, an electromotive actuator with an output and an electric motor, and an electric motor controller, wherein the electric motor of the actuator can be controlled via the motor controller as a function of an electric actuation signal such that the output of the actuator transfers the cover to an open position or a closed position. In order to realize the automatic opening or closing of a cover for a motor vehicle using simple circuit technology, it is proposed that the actuation signal can be generated by an external movement of the output. Furthermore, a method for automatically actuating a cover is provided.

  • Patent number: 7576643
Abstract: A sensor for measuring a variable, in particular a physical variable, includes at least one converter element converting the variable into an electrical signal. At least one electronic signal processing unit conditions and/or processes the electrical signal to provide a sensor signal. The at least one electronic signal processing unit has at least one diagnosis device. An interface passes on the sensor signal through a connection, in particular a cable connection, to an electrical device, in particular a control device. The diagnosis device causes a fault signal instead of the sensor signal to be present at the interface when a fault occurs, for clearly distinguishing a fault at the interface from a processing fault. A circuit having such a sensor and a method for operating the sensor and the circuit are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6584428
Abstract: A position sensor for motor vehicle is described that generates a varying pulse-width-modulated, position-dependent signal as a sensor signal, wherein an overall measuring range of the position sensor is divided into several similar, sequential measuring ranges. The position sensor according to the invention makes it possible to transfer sensor alignment to a receiver(s), so that alignment in or on the position sensor can be inexpensively replaced, without negatively influencing the resolution of the position sensor.
