Patent number: 9703278Abstract: An electrical actuator system for adjustable furniture, in particular height-adjustable tables (1), comprising at least one linear actuator (4), at least one operating unit (22) and a control box (12). By arranging therein at least one connector for cables into mutually opposing wall sections of the control-box cabinet for connection of linear actuators with cables, great simplification of the connection of the linear actuators to the control box is achieved, as when an uncoupling has been omitted, when the actuators have been wrongly connected during assembly, or if an actuator falls apart.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2014Date of Patent: July 11, 2017Assignee: Linak A/SInventor: Henning Kristensen

Patent number: 8581436Abstract: An off-mains switch (14) and a control box (15) for electrically adjustable articles of furniture, such as beds, chairs or tables, which automatically interrupt the connection to the power supply when the article of furniture is not adjusted, such that this will not constantly be under the mains voltage. These off-main switches require a multi-part cable which is rigid and thick. In the present structure (14, 15) a single two-part cable (13) is sufficient, as the off-mains switch (14) is configured such that the control signals between control unit/control box (15) and the off-mains switch are transmitted through a mains cable (13). A standard cable having two conductors is then sufficient. This means in turn that standard plugs may be used, and thus that the cable (13) may be connected to the power supply via an ordinary plug. Since, hereby, the off-mains switch may appear as a separate unit, production and logistics are facilitated.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2007Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Linak A/SInventor: Henning Kristensen

Patent number: 8127633Abstract: By a linear actuator of the type comprising a driven spindle with a spindle nut, the outer positions and possibly also the intermediate positions of the spindle nut can be determined by a specially designed switch construction. This switch comprises an elongated conductor (8a), and next to this at least one other short conductor (8b), and where a connection element (10) for the spindle nut is equipped with an electric conductive element (9), for creating contact between the two conductors (8a, 8b). With two short conductors at the end of the elongated conductor end-stop switches for the nut are achieved and with more short conductors between the two end conductors the position of the spindle nut between its outer positions can be determined.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2007Date of Patent: March 6, 2012Assignee: Linak A/SInventor: Henning Kristensen

Patent number: 5807583Abstract: A process for the manufacture of sustained release pellets comprising pelletizing a mixture containing the drug in finely divided form and a binder. The characteristic feature is that:(a) said binder is in particle form consisting of one or more water-insoluble wax-like binder substance(s) with a melting point above 40.degree. C., and(b) said pelletization step is performed by mechanically working said mixture, in a high shear mixer, under the input of a sufficient amount of energy for the binder to melt and pelletization to take place.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1995Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Assignee: Pharmacia ABInventors: Henning Kristensen, Torben Schaefer, Lars Juul Thomsen, deceased, Arne Kristensen
