  • Publication number: 20040174096
Abstract: The present invention relates to a piezoelectric actuator with a piezoelectric element, which is prestressed by means of a cup-shaped spring element having a simple design that is economical to produce and is capable of furnishing the requisite strong static and dynamic forces for prestressing the piezoelectric element, with a very small installation space.

  • Patent number: 6168099
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing an orifice disk. Metal foils are made available, opening geometries and auxiliary openings are introduced in the metal foils. The individual metal foils are superimposed in centered fashion. The metal foils are joined using a joining method, thus creating an orifice disk band having a plurality of rounds. Finally an isolation of the rounds or orifice disks is performed. The orifice disks manufactured in this manner are particularly suitable for use in fuel injection valves that are utilized in mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 6131826
Abstract: A valve, in particular a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines is described. The valve has a valve seat surface formed on a valve seat body, which interacts with an actuatable valve closing body to form a sealing seat, as well as a perforated disk, which has at least one spray hole. The valve seat body and the perforated disk are designed as one piece from a flat, deformable workpiece. The workpiece is pot shaped so that in the area of the valve seat surface it is in sealing contact with the non-actuated valve closing body when the valve is closed and forms the perforated disk having at least one spray hole in an area downstream from the valve seat surface.

  • Patent number: 6098598
Abstract: A fuel injection valve in particular an injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines has a valve closing body connected to a valve needle and a valve seat body. A valve closing surface that cooperates with a valve seat surface configured on valve seat body to form valve seat on valve closing body. Furthermore, the fuel injection valve has at least one fuel channel provided in the area of the valve seat body upstream from the valve seat for supplying fuel to the fuel seat. A throttle point, whose opening cross section can be varied from outside the fuel injection valve, is arranged in each fuel channel.

  • Patent number: 5087847
Abstract: An electromagnetic rotating adjuster that has a servomotor with a can-shaped rotor, which is supported by means of a shaft via a first roller bearing and a second roller bearing, in which the disposition of the roller bearings in the one piece housing is inaccessible. For axial fixation of one second roller bearing, a spring washer is disposed in a second bearing opening and the second roller bearing is pressed against it, the outer race of the bearing having a detent groove on its circumference which groove is engaged by resilient detent tongues of a detent ring, supported in an annular groove of the housing. This assures secure fixation of the second roller bearing in the axial direction in a way that both suits the needs of large-scale mass production and is economical. The electromagnetic rotating adjuster may be used in control of the idling air in internal combustion engines. The resilient tongues and washer facilitate removal, as well as installation, of the rotor assembly.
