  • Patent number: 9815485
Abstract: A method for outputting a trigger signal for an acoustic warning signal of a rail vehicle, includes reading in a piece of signal information detected by an image sensor of the rail vehicle, comparing the piece of signal information to at least one stored piece of reference signal information to classify the piece of signal information as a warning sign requiring an output of an acoustic warning signal, and providing a trigger signal to an output unit of the rail vehicle for outputting an acoustic warning signal.

  • Publication number: 20160039440
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle, in particular a railroad vehicle, having a safety circuit to be actuated by a vehicle driver, the safety circuit initiating at least one emergency action if the vehicle driver actuates the safety circuit uninterruptedly, or not at all, in a predefinable time interval. Provision is made here that a condition of the vehicle driver is sensed by a camera device; and that the at least one emergency action is initiated depending on the condition of the vehicle driver.

  • Publication number: 20150298657
Abstract: A method for controlling a cleaning apparatus for a vehicle camera includes: a step of reading in image data that represent at least one image area of an image taken by the vehicle camera of a vehicle environment; a step of evaluating an image property of the at least one image area of the image in order to determine a soiling value of the vehicle camera; and a step of generating a control signal for controlling the cleaning apparatus as a function of the soiling value.

  • Publication number: 20150284984
Abstract: A method for opening a door of a vehicle includes: a step of identifying an authorization device for use of the vehicle approaching the vehicle; a step of detecting when the authorization device approaches a relevant door of the vehicle; and a step of activating a unit for opening the relevant door.

  • Patent number: 7796820
Abstract: Classification methods are described that proceed in computer-assisted fashion, and in particular a method for evaluation and stabilization over time of classification results is described in which objects to be classified are sensed using sensors over a period of time, and are repeatedly classified with the inclusion of specific quality parameters for each object class. To ensure better classification reliability, the following steps may be carried out: a) increasing the value of the confidence parameter if a subsequent classification confirms the result of a previous classification; b) decreasing the value of the confidence parameter if a subsequent classification does not confirm the result of a previous classification; and c) generating a final classification result including the confidence parameters that have been increased or decreased in value.

  • Publication number: 20090192686
Abstract: A method for controlling the drive-off of a motor vehicle in which the area in front of the vehicle is sensed using a sensor device and a drive-off enabling signal is automatically output after the vehicle stops, if the traffic situation allows. Features of the road in the area in front of the vehicle are extracted from the data of the sensor device, and on the basis of these features, at least one enable criterion is checked, a positive result indicating that the road is clear.
