Abstract: The device comprises a band (9) made of relatively rigid plastic material designed to be sewn to the covering (4) and also hooking means (11) adapted to engage on a predetermined element (2) of the seat (1), the band (9) and the hooking means (11) being manufactured in a single piece from the same material.The seat (1) comprises in particular as the predetermined element (2) an end portion (6) in the form of a corner.The method provides for a sewing step in which the covering (4) is sewn on the fixing device (5) on the same side as the hook (13), the device (5) then being turned relative to the covering (4) so that its side opposite to the hook (13) is against the covering before clipping on the end portion (6).

Abstract: A fixing device (1) for securing a cover (3) to a seat (4) comprises a support (2), and a plurality of elastic fastenings (5) locked in the support (2), wherein the support (2) comprises more locking apertures (8) than the device (1) has elastic fastenings (5). The support (2) is sewn onto the covering (3), the fastenings (5) are locked in the support (2), and after positioning the covering (3) on the seat (4), the hooks (11) of the fastenings (5) are engaged upon components (17) of the seat (4).

Abstract: A plug is adapted to be fixed by means of a hot melt adhesive into an opening in a plate. It comprises a molded plastics material body and a bead of hot melt adhesive deposited onto a peripheral surface of the body around a surface transverse to the peripheral surface. The body comprises at least one snap-fastener blade having an insertion ramp and a retaining lip such that the insertion ramp bears against the edge of the opening when the plug is placed on the latter, bends if pressure is then applied to the plug to press it into the opening, and expands thereafter with the lip facing a first side of the plate while the bead of adhesive faces a second side of the plate. The snap-fastener blade extends between an attachment end and a free end in a longitudinal direction parallel to the peripheral surface and to the transverse surface. The blade is therefore entirely on the second side of the plate when the plug is snap-fastened in place.
