  • Patent number: 5024608
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection device for connecting a coaxial cable (3) and a connection module or for connecting coaxial cables end-to-end, in particular for a junction block. The connection device comprises a link tube (2) having one formed end formed to receive and hold one end of a coaxial cable whose covering is stripped so as to allow electrical contact to be made between the peripheral conductor (4) of the cable and the said formed end. The link tube also contains a fixed link conducting part (10) provided with a connection head (12) for receiving and holding the stripped central conductor of the cable, thereby ensuring electrical continuity between said central conductor and the link conducting part (10). The connection module comprises a link tube having both ends provided with respective connection devices.

  • Patent number: 5011428
Abstract: A tapping connector for a screened multiwire electric cable comprising an outer covering around both a plurality of conductor wires which are electrically insulated from one another and electromagnetic screening forming a sheath around the conductor wires, and optionally around a drain conductor providing electrical continuity for the screening. An annular portion of the outer covering and at least a portion of the sheath forming the screen being removed from a selected position along the cable for installation of the connector. The connector comprises at least two complementary portions which are dissociable to allow a cable to be put into a position passing between them and to enable the cable to be held stationary relative thereto when they are reassembled.

  • Patent number: 4904204
Abstract: An insulation-piercing connector for coaxial cables comprises a base member and a complementary bracket member together defining a conduit for a coaxial cable. The base member and the bracket member are adapted to be separated to fit around a coaxial cable and to be clamped together to immobilize the coaxial cable in the conduit. The base member is also adapted to enable it to be attached to a support. A bearing surface on the base member bears on the support when the base member is attached to the support. Terminals on the base member project beyond the bearing surface. Connecting spikes project from the base member and pierce the coaxial cable to connect its inner and outer conductors to respective terminals. A guide transverse to the conduit opens into the conduit and externally of the base member. The connecting spike adapted to connect the inner conductor of the coaxial cable to the respective terminal is removably housed in this guide.

  • Patent number: 4693542
Abstract: A connection, in particular of the miniature type for providing oblique connections at angles which may be selected over a wide range of angles on request. Said connections serving to put a conductor wire (3) into electrical connection with a conductor strip (4) of an electrical apparatus by gripping the wire between a wire-gripping surface (41) provided on the strip and a corresponding parallel, internal, wire-gripping surface (10) of a cage (1) which surrounds the strip, said grip being provided by the action of a clamping screw (2) screwed into the cage and bearing against the opposite surface of the strip from its wire-gripping surface. The clamping screw is disposed obliquely relative to the wire-gripping surfaces and its end presses directly on said opposite surface (22); the cage (1) includes at least one lateral screw-backing element (11) in the vicinity of the end (21) of the screw where it is pressed against the strip.

  • Patent number: 4454382
Abstract: Means for fixing a device on supporting a channel bar comprise a leg (5), a fixing component (2) and a compression spring (3). The fixing component has a rod (12) and a body (11) which slide in a longitudinal guide (24) in the base (1) of a housing for said device to be fixed on the bar. Two recesses (9, 10) are provided in the base. The compression spring is installed in a partially compressed condition in the first recess (9) and the rod (12) passes through it, said rod forming shoulders (19) with the body. The end of the rod (12) is fitted with a pin (4). The fixing component has two hooks (13, 14) and a guide (15) which co-operates with a groove (27) of the base to make the fixing component captive.
