The tubular section element (12) is disconnected from the fixing element (11) in predetermined discrete zones (31, 32), which are preferably the zones in which the device closely fits curved portions of the support on which it is designed to be mounted by means of its fixing element.

Abstract: The invention relates to reinforcement for a sealing strip and to a sealing strip including such reinforcement. The essential characteristic of the present invention lies in superposing webs that interconnect rung members of the reinforcement so as to facilitate bulging or edgewise bending of the reinforcement and of the sealing strip. The invention is mainly applicable to providing sealing in the motor industry.

Abstract: A sealing device for the frame of a bay provided in a door panel with the bay having a rabbet and being adapted to be closed by a window. The sealing device includes a first part for fastening on the rabbet having sealing lips designed to contact the window, a second part being connected to the first part by a third part which is sufficiently resilient and compliant to enable relative movement of the two first parts and the attachment by a locking action of said second part to an anchoring edge of the door panel.

The spacers and connecting strips are slanted to the mean longitudinal direction of the armature yet with opposite angles. The armature is for use in particular in the automotive industry and especially for the production of elements such as guides, slides, pane bottom or car window wiper rings.

The wiper seal further comprises a second lip which is offset downwards relative to the first, and which is shaped and placed in such a manner as to come into contact with the window glass only when the glass is fully extended, in which case the second lip bears sufficiently against the glass for the lip to provide satisfactory sealing, with the first lip being covered on portions thereof liable to come into contact with the window by means of a relatively flexible covering of flock, whereas the second lip is coated on its operative portion with a sliding coating.

Abstract: A waterproof sealing strip is disclosed which is adapted for sealing a moveable glass pane of a vehicle. The sealing strip includes a body having a pair of leg portions extending in opposing spaced-apart relation to form a clamp for mounting the strip to a vehicle. A first portion of the body has a flock coating of textile fibers for engaging the face of the pane. A second portion of the body has a second surface coating harder than the flock coating and having a low coefficient of friction also for engaging the pane and assisting in sliding movement of this glass pane.

Abstract: A slideway strip for guiding a moving glass, in particular a car window glass, and intended to co-operate with a T-section shoe mounted on the glass, the strip comprising a generally channel section frame having a base (14) and two flanks (15, 16) with the ends of the flanks having respective sealing lips (21, 22) mounted thereon and made of a material softer than the frame material. The strip also has ribs (17, 17a) connected to its base via respective risers which leave shoe-receiving grooves (18, 18a). The strip is suitable for constituting car window weather strip.

Said strip is provided with a hard elastomer or plastomer protrusion on the inside face of at least one of said walls, said protrusion being so shaped as to form together with the said base of the strip body, when in use configuration, a retaining groove for an insert allowed to slide therein. Said strip may also be provided with one or with a plurality of ribs. Application to vehicles.
