  • Publication number: 20230391842
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of unconventional neurotrophic factors and to the field of treating degenerative, chronic or progressive diseases and disorders, and monogenic hereditary diseases having ER stress as a pathogenic compound. More particularly the disclosure relates to modified peptides, particularly retro-inverso peptides. The disclosure also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising said peptides. Further, the disclosure also relates to said peptides, and pharmaceutical compositions for use as a medicament and in the treatment of degenerative, chronic or progressive diseases and disorders, and monogenic hereditary diseases having ER stress as a pathogenic compound as well as to methods for treating said diseases and disorders.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of unconventional neurotrophic factors and to the field of treating degenerative, chronic or progressive diseases and disorders, and monogenic hereditary diseases having ER stress as a pathogenic compound. More particularly the disclosure relates to modified peptides, particularly macrocyclic peptides.

  • Publication number: 20230341944
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for device-inputted commands are described. A system may receive physiological data, including motion data, associated with a user from a wearable device worn by the user and may detect multiple motion pulses based on the motion data, where each motion pulse includes motion data that exceeds a motion threshold. The system may additionally identify an input command pattern comprising at least one motion pulse preceded and followed by a static period in a time domain. Additionally, the system may identify one or more user inputs based on the input command pattern matching a reference command pattern and generate one or more instructions based on identifying the one or more user inputs.

  • Publication number: 20050170437
Abstract: The invention relates in part assays for identifying and testing compounds that modulate cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP). In addition, the invention relates to novel cleavage products of APP. The invention additionally relates to methods and assays for identifying compounds that inhibit acyl-coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) activity. The methods and products of the invention are useful for identifying compounds to prevent and/or treat APP-cleavage associated disorders (e.g. Alzheimer's disease) and are also useful for identifying compounds to prevent and/or treat ACAT-associated disorders.
