Abstract: A method is disclosed of making connections by gluing terminals or like components to a resistive track for a heating plate. A terminal for use in this method is also disclosed. Fine lamellae are cut out from one or more areas of the base of the terminal, which is coated with a conductive resin. The conductive resin is then dried and cross-linked to glue the terminal to the resistive track. During this step, the lamellae serve as drains to evacuate the bubbles of gas that form. Applications include heating plates for kettles or similar heating receptacles.

Abstract: In a method of applying a decoration to an object, at least one layer of enamel frit slip is applied to the object, after which, without curing this layer, a decoration based on enamel frit and mineral pigments is applied to localized areas of this layer in the form of a paste containing the enamel frit, the pigments and a binder that can be melted by application of heat or cross-linked by exposure to ultraviolet light. The paste is heated when it is applied to the enamel frit slip layer to melt the binder that can be melted by heat, after which the combination is cured to vitrify the enamel frit slip layer and the decoration.

Abstract: The method for firing enamel on a metal article (2), subjected to a prior step for depositing, onto part of its surface, an enamel frit slip, followed by a step for obtaining a bisque on said component, comprises a step for exposing the article to infrared radiation of a maximum emission wavelength in a firing chamber (1).

Abstract: The smoothing iron sole possesses a coating of enamel on its surface intended to be applied to the articles to be ironed. This surface comprises enamel strips (4) in relief which are substantially parallel and extend in the longitudinal direction of the sole. The strips have a cross section which diminishes gradually from the front toward the rear of the sole.

Abstract: A cooking utensil having an enamel coating of a first enamel layer (7) covered in the zone of the bottom (1) of the utensil with a second enamel layer (3) which is in turn covered with a non-continuous third enamel layer (4) constituting a decoration and applied by screen process after drying of the first layer, these three layers (7, 3, 4) being obtained from an enamel frit and being fired simultaneously.The two enamel layers (3, 4) contain glass beads (5, 6), at least a certain number of which have a diameter of greater value than the thickness of these enamel layers and project from the surface of the layers, a certain number of beads (6) of the non-continuous third layer (4) being applied on beads (5) of the second layer (3). The second layer also contains heat-conducting flakes.The enamel coating offers enhanced resistance to wear and high thermal conductivity.
