  • Patent number: 7070796
Abstract: The invention concerns a pharmaceutically stable oxaliplatinum preparation for parenteral administration, the oxaliplatinum being in a precipitate-free, colorless and clear solution after being preserved for a pharmaceutical acceptable duration. In said preparation, the oxaliplatinum is contained in a solution in a solvent at a concentration of at least 7 mg/ml and the solvent comprises a sufficient amount of at least a hydroxylated derivative selected among 1,2-propane-diol, glycerol, maltitol, saccharose and inositol. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said solution.

  • Patent number: 6270773
Abstract: A process for preserving desired characteristics of vegetable plants for cosmetic, condimental, aromatic or food use is described which includes rehydrating harvested vegetable to nearly the water content of freshly harvested plants and then exposing them to microwave radiation to rapidly heat them to the denaturation temperature of the specific enzyme contained in the harvested plants.

  • Patent number: 4033818
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the preparation of a complete extract of pilewort roots, used in cosmetological compositions, which consists of first subjecting the dried and ground roots to an extraction with 35.degree.-45.degree. C petroleum ether and then treating the insoluble powder by extraction with an aqueous lower alcohol. After having removed the insoluble impurities by filtration, the filtrate is treated with papaine and is concentrated to a solids content of 40 to 50%. Aqueous alcohol is then added to the concentrated extract and the deposit thus formed is removed by decantation when cold, leaving the desired extract.
