  • Publication number: 20240057521
Abstract: The invention relates to a separating device (3) and to a separating method for separating weed seeds and lost crops from the wastage outflow (102) of a harvesting machine (1). The separating device (3) is arranged on the harvesting machine (1) to the outlet area for the wastage (2) of the harvesting machine (1) and has at least one rotating separating element (31), with which a material stream substantially consisting of weed seeds and lost crops is separated from the wastage outflow (102) of the harvesting machine (1). The remaining material stream (103) substantially consists of non-grain constituents and can be spread back directly onto the field, while the separated material stream substantially consisting of weed seeds and lost crops can first be collected and e.g. rendered unable to germinate.

  • Patent number: 7228762
Abstract: A method of regulating a travelling speed of an agricultural machine includes providing a diesel engine to drive a variable displacement pump, the variable displacement pump connected by a hydraulic line to at least one hydraulic motor connected to a running gear so as to drive the agricultural machine at the travelling speed. The method further includes measuring a speed of the diesel engine, and providing a delivery volume from the variable displacement pump via the hydraulic line to the at least one hydraulic motor in proportion to the measured speed of the diesel engine, where a speed of the at least one hydraulic motor controls the travelling speed of the agricultural machine.

  • Publication number: 20050272557
Abstract: A traveling gear for an agricultural working machine, with control of he traveling speed by adjusting the engine sped to the planned driving for road travel is disclosed. The traveling gear for an agricultural working machine controls the speed for road travel by controlling the central drving gear.

  • Patent number: 6953416
Abstract: A traveling gear for an agricultural working machine configured to adjust an engine speed so as to control the traveling speed of the agricultural working machine for road travel. The traveling gear generally controls the traveling speed of the machine by controlling a central driving gear. The traveling gear generally includes a diesel engine as its central motive power source, a variable displacement pump driven by the diesel engine, an electro-hydraulic motor with an adjustable induction volume, and a pair of electro-hydraulic motors which are switchable in their induction volume. For a change in speed, the displacement volume of the variable displacement pump is adjusted. The change in displacement of the variable displacement pump causes a change in speed of the electro-hydraulic motors, which in turn causes a corresponding change in speed of the traveling gear and associated traveling speed of the agricultural machine.

  • Patent number: 6813873
Abstract: A crop harvesting machine is provided having a crop feeder device that is movable through various heights via manipulation of first hydraulic cylinders. A crop gathering attachment is mounted onto a front side of the crop feeder device. A crop gathering attachment is provided having fixed height sensors that measure a distance of the attachment above the ground. A second hydraulic cylinder is provided between the crop feeder device and the crop gathering attachment to control the angle of tilt of the crop gathering attachment relative to the crop feeder device. The angle of tilt is measured by a tilt sensor. A controller is connected to the sensors and provides output to the cylinders to control the machine height and angle of tilt.

  • Publication number: 20040040276
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for adapting attachments on harvesting machines to the ground surface, in particular for combine harvesters and forage harvesters. The aim of the invention is to produce a rapid adaptation to the ground surface, even at high speeds, that is extremely accurate and also cost-effective. To achieve this, a feed device (1), whose height can be adjusted by a hydraulic cylinder (5). has a shaft (7) which is aligned transversally to the direction of travel, the attachment (15) being mounted so that it can be rotated through a defined pivoting angle (9) about said shaft. The pivoting angle (9) can be modified by means of a hydraulic working cylinder (10) which connects the feed device (1) and the attachment (15), whereby the pivoting angle (9) is continuously monitored by a sensor (11). An additional sensor (18) continually measures the distance (17) of the attachment (15) to the ground surface.

  • Patent number: 6342006
Abstract: A harvester has a thresher for receiving at an intake a mixture of straw and grain and for separating the mixture into grain, straw, and tailings comprised of mixed grain and straw and a conveyor recirculates a stream of the tailings along a path back to the intake. A sensor is positioned in the path and intercepts at least a portion of the stream for counting a number of grains in the portion of the stream passing the sensor. The conveyor includes an elevator for raising the tailings stream to a location above the sensor and for dropping the tailings stream on the sensor. The thresher includes a main threshing drum and a cleaning unit downstream therefrom.
