A vacuum-tight connection (10) is formed between the window frame and the front wall, and between the window frame and a rear wall (3) or a projecting portion of an intermediate element (4). The window frame reduces the risk of leakage, reinforces the construction and enables an improved method of manufacturing the display device to be achieved.
