    Abstract: A split sheet surgical drape is disclosed. The opening in the drape has a plastic border between one and six inches in width on both surfaces of the drape.     Abstract: A bilateral fenestrated drape folded in such a manner to eliminate the need for removable paper coverings over the fenestrations. The drape is fan folded in the longitudinal direction and then fan folded transversely to form two stacks of the folds with a bridging or central portion between the stacks. The bridging portion is folded to form flaps which are used to cover the fenestrations.

    Abstract: A surgical drape for use in cesarean section procedures is disclosed. The drape has a fluid collection bag secured to the lower surface of the drape to collect amniotic and other fluids released during the surgery. The fluid collection bag is maintained in an open position by a moldable strip at the opening of the bag. An adhesive at the opening of the bag seals the bag after use.

    Abstract: A surgical cover sheet which can be used to cover a patient or operating room equipment such as an instrument table. The drape comprises a generally rectangular sheet of flexible, drapable material, preferably a nonwoven fabric, which is folded longitudinally to reduce its size. The longitudinally folded drape may be applied by a sterile or non-sterile nurse without contaminating an aseptic field. The longitudinally folded drape may be further folded in the transverse direction for packaging, sterilization and storage.

    Abstract: A surgical drape comprising a main sheet, a liquid impervious bag for collecting liquids such as blood and saline, and means for channeling liquids into the bag for storage. In a preferred embodiment the bag also includes a liquid pervious retainer means for holding articles such as sponges which are to be counted when the surgical procedure is finished. Optionally, the drape may have a reinforcing panel or a fenestration or both. The fenestration may be covered with a closure means, such as a thin film, which carries adhesive on its bottom surface.
