Abstract: Techniques for setting up network components in a wind power plant communication network. The communication network comprises a plurality of network components each comprising a component type identifier and being suitable for serving a function which can be changed by a configuration command, and a perimeter component configured for communication with the plurality of network components and configured for communication with an external server outside the wind power plant communication network. The external server has access to a list of component types and at least one corresponding configuration for each network component.
