    Abstract: According to one aspect of the teachings herein, a base station (20) schedules the transmission of uplink reference signals by a wireless device (16) separately from scheduling uplink data transmissions by the device (16). The separate scheduling may be done at specific times, under specific conditions, and with respect to specific devices (16) or groups of devices (16). Separate scheduling allows, for example, the base station (20) to use smaller scheduling intervals that are possible when uplink reference signals are integrally included in any scheduled uplink data transmission. As a further advantage, the density or number of uplink reference signal transmissions by a given device (16) can be adapted, e.g., based on channel conditions, data transmission formats, etc.

    Abstract: A device and a method for controlling vehicle speed in a vehicle equipped with cruise control while traveling downhill. The method involves driving a vehicle downhill with the cruise control set to a brake speed; detecting a current vehicle speed; applying the auxiliary brake to maintain the brake speed; detecting a request for a downshift from a current gear to a lower gear; and determining if a downshift is permissible at the current speed. If a downshift is not permissible, then a control unit automatically applies the service brakes to retard the vehicle speed; retarding the vehicle from a current speed to a lower speed at which a downshift to a lower gear is permissible; and performing a downshift to a lower gear when the second vehicle speed is reached. The cruise control is set to a second brake speed lower than the first brake speed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that relate to selecting Time Division Duplexing (TDD) subframes (SFs) where both downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) short Transmit Time Intervals (sTTIs) can be introduced without substantially affecting legacy TDD operations. In this regard, in some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node of a cellular communications network comprises partitioning a plurality of SFs into at least two sets of SFs. The at least two sets of SFs comprising a first set of SFs for legacy TDD transmissions and a second set of SFs for sTTI TDD transmissions. The method further comprises performing one or more telecommunications functions according to the at least two sets of SFs. In this manner, TDD sTTI transmissions can be performed without substantially affecting legacy TDD operations.

    Abstract: An external portion of an auditory prosthesis includes magnets, electronics, and other components. In bone conduction auditory prostheses, reducing the amount of mass subject to vibrations in an auditory prosthesis has a positive effect on tuning of the device. One way of reducing such mass is to resiliently more massive components within the auditory prosthesis housing. Such resilient mounting reduces the dampening effect that these massive components have on vibrations generated by the prosthesis. When electronic components are suspended, feedback to said components is also reduced, resulting improved performance.

The signal transmission arrangement is configured to suppress a contribution of the power amplifier output signal from a signal received from an RF connecting point using the auxiliary power amplifier output signal to obtain a received signal that is input to the receiver.
