  • Patent number: 11168564
Abstract: A method for assigning a set of tasks to a plurality of mining machines, said machines being arranged to be driven between positions for performing tasks is provided. The method includes defining a first set of constraints to be fulfilled finding an overall solution fulfilling the first set of constraints by solving each constraint as a sub-problem, a solution to at least one sub-problem being dependent on the solution of at least one other sub-problem; the overall solution fulfilling the first set of constraints being an overall solution where a first of said sub-problems is validated by solutions of others of the sub-problems, and assigning tasks to the machines according to the determined validated overall solution, wherein tasks are arranged to be carried out at least partially overlapping in time by the mining machines.

Abstract: A method for assigning a set of tasks to a plurality of drill rigs, said tasks including drilling of holes by said plurality of drill rigs. The method includes defining a first set of constraints to be fulfilled when assigning tasks to said plurality of drill rigs finding an overall solution fulfilling said first set of constraints by solving each constraint as a sub-problem, a solution to at least one sub-problem being dependent on the solution of at least one other sub-problem; said overall solution fulfilling said first set of constraints being determined when a solution to a first of said sub-problems is validated by solutions of others of said sub-problems, and assigning tasks to said plurality of drill rigs according to the determined validated overall solution, wherein tasks of said set of tasks are arranged to be carried out at least partially overlapping in time by said plurality of drill rigs.

  • Patent number: 8369310
Abstract: In a method for determining the status of a real-time transfer protocol (RTP) packet stream, several steps are performed. A time period elapsed since reception of the last RTP packet is determined, the content of the last received RTP packet is determined, and the status of the RTP packet stream based on the elapsed time period and the content of the last received RTP packet is categorized. The method is advantageous in that the risk of false detection of dead RTP packet streams is reduced.

  • Patent number: 8270391
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a receiver (135) for determining the status of a real-time transfer protocol (RTP) packet stream. The method includes the steps of determining (220) a time period elapsed since reception of the last RTP packet, determining (250) the content of the last received RTP packet and categorizing the status of the RTP packet stream based on the elapsed time period and the content of the last received RTP packet. The present invention is preferably implemented in a processor or processing means (180) of the receiver and is advantageous in that the risk of false detection of dead RTP packet streams is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6916015
Abstract: A lifting device comprising a rope or wire provided at one end with a gripping device for an object to be lifted, a pulling device provided at the other end of the rope or wire and a rope wheel around which the rope or wire is wound. The rope wheel is provided with a groove for the rope. The rope wheel has a bulge in which a raised screw is inserted wherein, when the rope is wound on the rope wheel and reaches the bulge, the rope is lifted and interacts with a breaker, thereby stopping lifting.

  • Publication number: 20040108498
Abstract: The invention relates to a lifting device comprising a rope, wire, or the like, which at one end is provided with a gripping device (8) for the object to be lifted. The rope, wire, or the like (7) is at the other end connected to a pulling device. The invention is characterized in that the pulling device is so designed that the rope, when it is pulled up, occupies a considerably shorter length than the distance which the gripping device (8) has been lifted.

  • Publication number: 20020010001
Abstract: A method and arrangement according to the invention selects the modulation and coding scheme MCS on a non-power-controlled downlink shared channel (DSCH) based on the amount of transmit power allocated to the downlink dedicated physical channel (DPCH) corresponding to the mobile station currently using the DSCH. Each mobile station in the system that takes part in sharing the DSCH has access to one associated DPCH. The DSCH is shared between the users in some way, e.g. in a time division fashion, wherein one user at a time uses the resources, and is not power controlled by any of the users. In a preferred embodiment, the procedure of selecting an appropriate modulation and coding scheme MCS for the DSCH as a function of the power level on the DPCH associated with the user currently using the DSCH is repeated each time the transmitted power of the associated DPCH changes.

  • Patent number: 6208663
Abstract: A communication system supports multiple modulation/coding schemes. When connection quality drops below an acceptable threshold, ARQ techniques use an alternative modulation/coding scheme which is more resistant to noise and/or interference. Flexible resegmentation and mapping of information blocks is supported.
