Abstract: A system for selectively expediting connection establishment between apparatuses. In at least one example implementation, an apparatus may comprise at least a control entity and a communication entity. The control entity may transmit a command to the communication entity, the command instructing the communication entity to set certain operational parameters. The communication entity may then send a response to the command, and the control entity may determine if the certain operational parameters have been set in the communication entity based on the response. If the certain operational parameters have been set, the control entity may initiate a first device discovery mode in the apparatus. Alternatively, a second device discovery mode may be initiated by the control entity if it is determined that the certain operational parameters have not been set in the communication entity.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing for improved transmission of a content package may include a gesture recognizer configured to recognize gesture inputs on a touch screen which select content for transmission. A communication interface may search for signals from accessible devices, and a received signal strength meter may determine corresponding received signal strengths. A target device selector may select a target device from the accessible devices based at least in part on the received signal strengths. The communication interface may then provide for transmission of a content package including the content and configured for reception by the target device in instances in which the target device is selected. A corresponding method and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus with a multi view display. The display is configured to operate as a touch screen for receiving input and to provide multiple views, wherein content of a view depends on a viewing direction. The apparatus includes detection equipment detection equipment, and a processing unit. The detection equipment with the processing unit is configured to cause the apparatus to detect arrival direction of input received through said touch screen, and the processing unit is configured to control one of the views on said display responsive to said input received through said touch screen and to select which view to control based on the detected arrival direction of said input.
