  • Patent number: 5949517
Abstract: The present invention relates to a case (30) for a clip-on spectacle shield comprising a retainer guide (31) and two housings (35) arranged for receiving respective shield lenses of the clip-on shield where the connecting bridge of the clip-on shield extends from one housing to the other, said case being characterised in that the retainer guide is made of a dimensionally stable material, that the retainer guide is made to secure the housings and to support the connecting bridge of the clip-on shield in a well-defined orientation, that the housings are made of a resilient material and are configured to tightly enclose the shield lenses so as to ensure that the case is deformed elastically for an increased curvature when the clip-on shield is contained therein whereby the clip-on shield is secured elastically.

  • Patent number: 5926769
Abstract: In a first embodiment a method includes the steps of (a) entering n numeric characters from a keypad; (b) detecting the entry of the n.sup.th numeric character; and (c) storing n-1 of the entered characters in a multi-location telephone number memory at a location specified by the n.sup.th numeric character. In one embodiment the step of detecting includes a step of detecting that a keypad key used to enter the n.sup.th numeric character is depressed for an amount of time that exceeds a predetermined duration, while in another embodiment the step of detecting includes a step of detecting that a keypad key used to enter the n.sup.th numeric character is depressed a plurality of times within a period that is less than a predetermined duration. In a further embodiment the step (c) stores a first n-m of the entered characters in a multi-location telephone number memory, where m is equal to or greater than one, at a location specified by the m.sup.th character or characters.
