Publication number: 20140072582Abstract: The current invention involves biologically active proteins termed stradobodies. The stradobodies have two or more domains that create stradobody multimers. The stradobodies have both antigen-binding capacity and the ability to bind Fc receptors (FcR), and are useful in the treatment and prevention of disease.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2013Publication date: March 13, 2014Applicant: Gliknik Inc.Inventors: David BLOCK, Henrik OLSEN

Publication number: 20130156765Abstract: The current invention involves a series of fully recombinant multimerized forms of immunoglobulin Fc which thereby present polyvalent immunoglobulin Fc to immune cell receptors. The fusion proteins exist as both homodimeric and highly ordered multimeric fractions, termed stradomers. In comparison to the homodimeric fraction, purified multimeric stradomers have higher affinity and avidity for Fc Rs with slower dissociation and are useful in the treatment and prevention of disease. The current invention demonstrates that directly linking IgG1 Fc regions to multimerization domains leads to enhanced multimerization and biological activity.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2011Publication date: June 20, 2013Inventors: David S. Block, Henrik Olsen

Publication number: 20080071193Abstract: A biopsy device for harvesting tissue samples from a body of a living being, e.g. in percutaneous aspiration biopsy, includes a handle unit, a hollow needle comprised in a disposable unit, which is releasably attached to the handle unit, and a sample-receiving device, which is movable in the hollow needle between two positions. Tissue is severed when the sample-receiving device is in a first one of the positions, and the severed tissue sample is ejected from the sample-receiving device in a second one of the two positions. A control system is provided for controlling movement of the sample-receiving device and for arresting the sample-receiving device in the second position. The distance between the two positions and/or a length of the hollow needle may be detectable in a calibration cycle, which is automatically initiated upon attachment of the disposable unit to the handle unit. The disposable unit may include electronic memory means for communicating with the control system.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2005Publication date: March 20, 2008Inventors: Claus Reuber, Karsten Videbaek, Henrik Olsen
