  • Patent number: 11607559
Abstract: It is provided a method for determining arc costs. The method comprises the steps of: determining a plurality of beam orientations; evaluating a set of at least one cost function comprising an intermediate exposure cost function that is evaluated by performing the substeps of: projecting the at least one target volumes on a beam plane; determining an alignment angle based on a collimator angle value; finding any intermediate area in the beam plane along the alignment angle between areas of the at least one target volume projection; determining a value of the intermediate exposure cost function. The method further comprises the steps of: finding a plurality of arcs, wherein each arc comprises a sequence of a plurality of beam orientations; and calculating, for each arc in the plurality of arcs, at least one arc cost based on the cost function values of the beam orientations of the arc.

  • Patent number: 10601061
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel generator (12) for a fuel cell based charger system, and a system containing a charger (10) and a fuel generator. The generator comprises a compartment (20?) containing aluminium, means (18?, 20?, 21, FW) for providing a solution of water and a water soluble compound capable of reacting with aluminium to generate hydrogen gas, when dissolved in water and brought into contact with the aluminium, and means (FS) for passing said solution into the compartment containing aluminium. The invention also provides a method of operating the system. It comprises providing a fuel generator and a hydrogen driven fuel cell based charger device having means for accommodating the generator. The generator and charger having a common interface cooperative for providing fluid communication between the generator and the charger. The system is primed by inserting the generator into the charger whereby the interface opens up fluid communication between selected parts of the system.

  • Publication number: 20190039889
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel fuel cartridge for providing hydrogen gas on the basis a reactant system. Thus, a fuel cartridge for a fuel cell device, comprises a reactor compartment for storing a first reactant, a water compartment for storing water. It has a mixing compartment (106) containing a water soluble second reactant, and a fluid communication means (114) between the mixing compartment (106) and the reactor compartment (102) adapted to pass second reactant dissolved in water to the reactor compartment (102), in which the dissolved second reactant can react with the first reactant to generate a gas. Suitably, the fuel cartridge comprises an interface connectable to a water control mechanism disposed outside the cartridge, the water control mechanism configured to control a flow of the water between the water compartment and the mixing compartment such that the water mixes with and dissolves the second reactant in the mixing compartment.

  • Patent number: 10117608
Abstract: A device for mounting an electrochemical sensor unit to a skin surface of a human being comprises a mounting member having a circumferential wall, an adhesive tape at a lower end of the circumferential wall for adhering the mounting member to the skin surface, and a sealing member. The sealing member provides a liquid tight seal between a lumen or measuring chamber defined between the skin surface, the mounting device and the sensor unit, the measuring chamber being normally filled with a contact liquid. Alternatively, the sealing member is provided on the sensor unit. The provision of the sealing member renders the system less vulnerable to force impacts and reduces the risk of flawed measurements due to atmospheric air in the measuring chamber. The electrochemical sensor unit may e.g. be suitable for transcutaneous measurement of partial carbon dioxide pressure (pCO2) or partial oxygen pressure (pO2).

  • Patent number: 8532881
Abstract: A connecting device arranged in a motor vehicle releasably connects a structural member of the vehicle to the vehicle chassis and includes a bolt joint system. The connecting device further includes a pyrotechnical charge and an igniter. The igniter detonates the pyrotechnical charge upon receipt of an ignition signal. The pyrotechnical charge is located near the bolt joint system such that, upon detonation, it destroys the connecting function of the bolt joint system and thereby releases the structural member from the chassis.
