    Abstract: Chemically bonded ceramics and manufacturing processes are described. In one aspect, a manufacturing process of a chemically bonded ceramic is carried out by: (1) combining an acidic liquid and solids to form a mixture; and (2) curing the mixture to form the chemically bonded ceramic. The solids include a boron compound corresponding to at least 1% by weight of the solids.
