Publication number: 20240165764Abstract: A method of machining ceramic matrix composite components includes providing an ultrasonic vibration tool having a tool tip, and exciting the tool by providing a control current, such that the tool tip is repeatedly vibrated towards and away from a ceramic matrix composite workpiece. A slurry feed is supplied including abrasive particles to a surface to be machined by the tool tip. A vibration amplitude of the tool tip is controlled by sensing load on the tool and communicating with a computing device. The computing device controls the vibration amplitude of the tool tip. The computing device is provided with at least one memory programmed with historic data, and is operable to modify the vibration amplitude signal being sent to the tool, and comparing resulting load levels due to the change in vibration amplitude signals, and storing the change in vibration amplitude signals at the memory.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2022Publication date: May 23, 2024Inventors: Zhigang Wang, Andrzej E. Publication number: 20170025989Abstract: A pole mounted dual axis solar tracking apparatus has a main mounting member [13] in a fixed primary north-south axis which is inclined to accommodate geographical latitude and a cross arm [16] fixed to the main mounting member and defining a secondary east-west axis. A support frame [15] for PV panels, solar reflectors etc. is pivoted to the cross arm to enable the support frame to tilt over the secondary east-west axis. The apparatus is highly efficient due to its ability to sweep through the shape of two conjoined cones. The apparatus operates with close to the efficiency of a dual axis tracker but with the simplicity of a single axis tracker.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2015Publication date: January 26, 2017Inventor: Ian Henry Shaw

Patent number: 7037887Abstract: Clear, or translucent fabric softener compositions comprise fabric softener compound, principal solvent system, and high electrolyte levels. The high electrolyte level allows for a broader range of principal solvents to be used and/or reduces the incidence of increased viscosity when low levels of principal solvent are used. Phase stabilizers which are primarily ethoxylated hydrophobic materials can be used to reduce the amount of principal solvent that is needed and/or to stabilize the compositions in the presence of the highest levels of electrolyte. Specific phase stabilizers provide additional benefits including improved softening. Specific electrolytes provide improved results. Addition of primary solvents and/or phase stabilizers to the softener compounds can improve the viscosity/handling of the compounds and the ability to create the finished compositions.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2004Date of Patent: May 2, 2006Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Gayle Marie Frankenbach, Ellen Schmidt Baker, Rebecca Gayle Baker, Marc Johan Declercq, Hugo Jean Marie Demeyere, Ryan Matthew Heiden, Charles Albert Hensley, Brent Alan Kolb, Ruth Anne Murphy, Ronald Edward Pegoli, Toan Trinh, Errol Hoffman Wahl, Michael Rene Weaver, Dean Larry DuVal, John Henry Shaw, Jr., Masae Nogami, Ronghui Wu
